I mean, the more 'common' character would be more feral and less aware or respectful of social norms and control
Thus he'd be more sexual and instinctive strive to be more dominant.
Although at the same time said Englishman, if he was a PROPER Englishman would have some sort of superiority issue due to the class/nationality differences. Thus he'd likely want to be in charge and exercise certain controls over said dominance while at the same time being fascinated by the beastial nature.
