Vladimir blinked and looked over at him. "Nightmares? Nightmares of what?"
Daemon looked to Vladimir before he looked at the floor, his hands going to his hair automatically. Call it a girly habit, but he had done it since he was young. "Nightmares of anything. I've had nightmares of being forgotten, of drowning, being attacked by something I can't see.... dying..." he whispered the last part. "I guess it's a nightmare any human would have.. one of them dying in some horrible way. I've had nightmares of torture that never ended.."
Vladimir frowned slightly. Night terrors. He'd heard of it, how humans could suffer night after night from nightmares and develop insomnia because they're afraid to sleep. He walked over to Daemon and gently took a hold of a few strands of his hair, lightly playing with it, thinking doing so relaxed the young man since he's seen him do it, "I'll help you concur these nightmares...in anyway that I can."
Daemon's cheeks flared a bit when he realized that he was probably going to put stress on the man if he wound up having a night terror. He looked up to Vladimir and leaned is head into the comforting touch. The man's hand was cold, but still soothing as it gently glided through his inky locks. He smiled at Vladimir. "I appreciate it. Though, you don't have to stress over it. I'm used to dealing with these kinds of things on my own."
"You shouldn't have to deal with these in your own." Vladimir said softly. When Daemon leaned into his touch, he could feel the warmth of his cheek and he almost blushed from the feeling. He'd never touched a human. Well, he had, but never flesh. He never felt the warmth of a human's body before. He found himself in a daze, then he shook his head out of the trance and softly cleared his throat as he lowered his hand, thinking he had made Daemon uncomfortable with his staring. "I'll go get my cloak." he said before exiting the kitchen to retrieve it.
Daemon almost wanted to whine at the loss of the man's hand in his hair. It was really rather comforting. He blushed in the realization that he kind of craved the man's touch again. He didn't know why but hell it was a strong craving. He blinked and tried to get himself out of his own trance. He turned around and walked to the main entryway. "Ah, right. I will... I don't know. I don't have a sweater or something."
Vladimir turned towards him while pulling his hood up. "It's quite cool outside. I think you'll be alright." he said before opening one of the large wooden front doors and walking outside into the sunlight slowly.
Daemon looked at Vladimir and nodded. He liked the sun, he could say, but not enough to go outside all the time. He followed the man out and noticed he was going rather slowly into the sun. This man was just one mystery after another. He shrugged about it and followed him out. "So his name was... ah... what was the horse's name?"
"Nightwing. You can call him Night, for short." Vladimir replied as he walked around the large castle into the back of the property which was just open grass field for Nightwing to roam. The property was closed off with moss-covered wooden fence to keep the forest animals away. He walked with Daemon to the stable where Nightwing was grazing on some fresh hay, nickering softly every now and then. Vladimir opened the gate slowly. "You go first." he said softly. "Walk up to him slowly."
Daemon was getting a bit nervous as they got closer and closer. What if the horse decided it didn't like him and tried to kick him. He'd never met a horse before and didn't even know if they were very nice to strangers. He bit his lip and began to mess with his hair again. He quickly put his hand down when they were close to the stables. He nodded to Vladimir and walked through the little gate, his steps a bit weary. He put one foot in front of the other and tried to keep his racing heart in check. He slowly approached the black stallion, his neon greens fixed on the horse's shoulder.
