Simon pointed to a large letter A on the first page where the a words began in the dictionary. "Right there." he replied before grinning at Naoki. "What about "adorable"?"

"What about 'annihilating annoying ... adult'?", he said, rolling his eyes and then looking at the letter.
He rubbed the tip of his finger along the latters lines, trying to learn how to write it. After doing it few times he nodded his head.

"You think you got it?" Simon asked after watching him do this for a few minutes.

"Yes.. I think I did.. It seems so at least", he said softly, shrugging.

Simon set the dictionary aside and he then opened a blank journal open with bare pages, then he put it in front of Naoki with a quill. "Here. Try and write it."

Naoki tried to write it.. and broke the quill because of too much pressure put on it. Blinking he rised it up to his eyes.
"What.. happened..?"

"You put too much pressure on it." Simon answered. He then took hold of Naoki's hand and the quill repaired itself as he brought it to the paper and he gently had Naoki press the quill tip to the paper enough that he could write with it. "Like this."

He then guided Naoki's hand to write the letter A in upper case and then in lower case. "See? Now you try." he offered, releasing Naoki's hand.

Naoki tried to repeat but he wasn't pleased with the resault. He tried again and again till he was happy with what he saw. Then he nodded with a smile on his face.
"Now it's good.."

"That's a good lad." Simon said softly with a smile seeing his a's were straight, then looked at him. "You want to continue?"

Nodding his head he waited for some more, for now ignoring what there was said ealier. The letters and learning them seemed much too interesting to focus on anything else. Naoki's ear and tail showed all to well how interested he was with what was showed to him.
