Darren giggled "You don't have to, and from the looks of things you'd rather not too, oh well, I'll see you after a quick jump" He said with a grin and jogged over to the ladder to the diving board as he started climbing up

The boy squirmed, hating to see his beloved climbing so high. He waded into the pool, and tried to relax.

Darren giggled as he reached the top and walked to the edge "Hey Hikari, How many flips should I try for?" He called out to him, accidentally catching the attention of the others in the pool who instantly recognized the neko's hair and tail

"D-Don't ask me! I don't want to have to save your ass again!" he called back nervously.

Darren giggled "Five it is" He said turning around so his back faced the water and he leaned back, gravity slowly carrying him off the edge and he kicked off, his tail curling around his leg as he began doing several backflips in mid air, finishing the fifth just before he landed in the water feet first, his body having stiffened the moment before to ensure he wouldn't get hurt and he swam casually under the water and popped up right in front of Hikari "I took some cliff diving lessons during a tour stop in hawaii, so that's nothing really"

The boy nearly had a heart attack, but sighed when he popped back up.
"Please don't scare me like that."

Darren giggled and wrapped his arms around Hikari and kissed him, pulling back he smiled "I'll try to do it as little as possible, but I think your not going to enjoy it when I go skydiving either" he said as some of the people in the pool had come closer "Your Darren Kiaray right?" one of them asked and he smiled and turned to them "Yeah, may I ask what you'd like?" He said and they sighed "Well we were just curious since your here and... well with someone like him, though we guess there's more going on so we'll just go" They said and began to exit the pool but Darren looked at them and said "Someone like Him? what's wrong with him? he saved my life at that concert tonight and your going to insult him like that?" and the people looked at him and sighed and continued to leave, then left the pool leaving Darren and Hikari alone, the neko looking rather mad

Hikari looked down, quite saddened, but he put on a brave face.
"It's alright, Darren. I'm used to it. Being a poor guitarist does that to you." he said softly, and kissed his forehead. Everybody in town knew him at least somewhat; He was the kid who played for tips in the parks, the kid even the police pitied, and refused to stop him from his only way to get good money.

Darren sighed "They should learn their place, I love you, they don't have to, so why would they talk about you like your some garbage off the street"

"...Because I pretty much am? I live in a rundown house, play for tips in the park and I work odd jobs. I saved up for years, and used a lot of it to go see you. People thought I was stupid for it... It turned out to be the best decision of my life." he said, and kissed him softly.
