"Ah okay. I thought you were afraid I would take away your cute boyfriend with beautiful green eyes" teased him Alice with the next wink. "And thank you for the compliment though they could be quite handful from time to time.. Sit down please and I would make your tea. How do you like it? With sugar? Cream? Maybe coffee? And I would bring you some cookies. I baked them so no grumbling. I'll be right back."
When Akira heard a compliment he just looked on the ground, not really knowing what to do. He was so embarrassed it was actually kind of funny. |
Even with the knowledge of Alice liking woman…still, it was a bit difficult to hear such words being spoken towards Akira. It eased Josh still to know she had no interest, or at least so she said.
When asked about what kind of tea he’d like, Josh took a seat and had no reason to think, he always loved his tea specifically the same. “Two tablespoons of sugar and just a little cream is fine with me. Thank you.” He replied before she left. Looking back at Akira, Josh chuckled from the look on his face, wrapping his arm around his body and sighing. “If she was straight I’d be so jealous right now.” Josh kissed the base of Akira’s neck and rubbed his waist very softly. “I told you you’re cute, even she agrees.” Josh almost sounded like he was teasing, but in fact he was just trying to show Akira that he wasn’t in fact unattractive. |
Akira tried to speak but there was no voice coming out of his mouth... though Alice smiled softly. Really ashamed he tried to write. 'Like M.. Josh's.. just a bit more cream.' He looked at the woman, hoping she could read that.
"Don't worry, hun. I got it", she said with a charming smile and went back to the kitchen. Although Josh wasn't teasing Akira took it as that. He hid his face in his hands, so much compliments and embarrassement was just too much for him. |
Josh found it a little charming to see that Akira knew what he liked, even if it had been many weeks together, it felt as though he learned a lot over the short period of time.
“Thank you.” Josh said to Akira, then noticing how ashamed, or embarrassed he looked and he felt a little bad about it…but at the same time it was a little cute. “Alright I’ll stop complimenting you for now.” Josh chuckled softly, kissing Akira’s head and wrapping both of his arms around him. It felt so strange to be doing such things with other people around…but Josh didn’t mind it whatsoever. “But I will tell you I’m proud of you. You left the mansion and you’re even in someone’s home. You proved me wrong, you’re braver than I had thought.” Josh whispered near his ear so only he’d be the one to hear those words spoken to him. |
Akira whimpered at the hug and hid his beat red face in Josh's chest. He shook his head still really embarrassed. Almost saying that he was a coward with all he went through was a bit much but Akira didn't mind. He knew he was easily scared after all.

“Come on Akira.” Josh smiled softly, keeping his arms around him as he began to rub his back softly, resting his head against his shoulder and talking again, even if Akira was embarrassed, he didn’t let that stop him.
“You remember when you first met me? You cant tell me that you haven’t changed since then. You would have been terrified to even leave your bedroom let alone go outside. This is a big step..” Josh kissed Akira’s forehead again and smiled against it. “I have a remarkable boyfriend.” he said even softer. |
Akira rised his head only to gaze at Josh shyly. 'I'm not remarkable.. How could I..' He wrote that shivered even so slightly.
They could see that but Alice was about to enter the room when she saw them. He stopped when he saw them and decided to wait a bit more in the kitchen. |
Glancing back only shortly, Josh gave a soft nod when he realized Alice went back, appreciating it since he really needed to make sure Akira knew how wrong he really was.
“To me, you’re remarkable. You make me happy, less lonely, and you being around me simply enough makes me beam.” Josh smiled and tilted his head to the side, looking into Akira’s green eyes. “How can you tell me that isn’t remarkable?” he asked. |
'But I'm just no one.. I don't even have a surname.. I can't work anywhere.. I..' Some tears showed in Akira's eyes when he was writing. 'I have no family.. no one.. how can I be remarkable? That word doesn't fit someone like me..' Normally he wouldn't tell anyone that but as Josh called him his boyfriend and all the other things.. he somehow was able to voice those thoughts.

Looking into Akira’s tear filled eyes, Josh felt his heart clench at what Akira was writing. It was still hard to know he was thinking of himself like that, he had no idea how important he was.
“You’re working for me, and you have a family, a new one now.” Josh kept his arms around Akira’s body, looking at him and creasing his brow. “Me and Sangre care about you, Harumi opened up to you and you might have saved her life. You mean so much to me Akira, more than you can imagine.” Josh ran his finger along his jaw, careful of his chin since it still probably hurt. “I can’t imagine living a life without you. Listen to me when I say this Akira; you are an amazing person, and you don’t see that but you changed so many people’s lives for the better. I wouldn’t lie to you….please, believe what I’m saying.” Josh said, his voice sounding desperate. |
