Akira gasped in surprise when he was lifted up. When he was laid down on the bed he closed his eyes as he got as close to other male as he was able to. He was brave? And Josh was proud of him? He slowly was calming down as his back was rubbed. Then he nodded at the question. Yes. His heart was beating normally now and he wasn't so scared anymore.. and master was near a no other person.. yes. He was much better now. Then he thought about what happened and sighed. 'I was rude to miss Alice.. didn't even say goodbye.. Somehow of you left Master to go for the guard leaving me alone.. it all seemed so.. overwhelming and kind of.. scary..'

After only a few short minutes, Josh could already feel Akira’s body against his ease. It was so simple to calm him once they were alone, and Josh took that as something he was proud of being able to do, to help Akira whenever he felt scared or anxious, to be able to calm him.
Waiting for Akria to write, Josh looked at his hands as he did, smiling lightly and whispering back to him. “I can contact her on Skype, using the laptop. You can send her a small message if you think that would help but I’m sure she doesn’t mind.” Josh assured him before going on. “And…that was the first time I left you with someone we didn’t really know. I shouldn’t have done that but you took it well. You actually managed to stay in there for a while, very notable.” Josh smiled. |
Akira listened to Josh feeling a bit.. like someone that met the wizard that started to talk about magic. Then he smiled shyly when he was prised. It felt good to know he wasn't as bad as he thought. 'What is 'Skype'? Is it part of internet?'

Looking into Akira’s eyes, Josh chuckled when he heard him ask about Skype. It made sense why he asked, and Josh didn’t mind answering whatsoever. “Yes, it’s a part of the internet. It’s a way to talk to other people far away, or sometimes even close. Think of it as talking through text instead of words.” Josh said to Akira, wondering if he’d be open to it. Even if he can’t speak, he’d be able to type, and could be a nice change for him.
“We can try it later on, or even tomorrow.” Josh said with a smile on his face. |
'How does it work? It sounds almost magical..' Said Akira and then blushed a bit, hoping he wasn't being stupid 'saying' something like that. 'And how long it takes to someone on the other side to receive it? Does it depends how far is that someone?'

Trying to make as much sense of it as possible, Josh caught his lower lip between his teeth and thought. Shortly afterwards, he looked back at Akira and answered. “It is rather amazing. You simply have to just add the persons email, or name…” Josh pulled out the slip of paper Alice handed him earlier, showing the information given.
“Then you just add them. When that happens, there’s a little bar at the bottom where you type what you want to say, press enter and there you go. It’s instant, even if someone is on the other side of the world they get the message right when you click send.” Josh smiled, knowing it probably sounding astounding to Akira. “It’s very cool. I’ll have to show you it sometime.” |
Akira's eyes got wide when he heard more and more. It was really amazing, that internet. So easy to contact anyone and gather all the information. 'Yes.. I would really like that.. Are there any books about it.. so I would be able to make myself less clueless..?'

Josh glanced over at his door, thinking about what Akira asked and slowly nodding his head. “There are manual’s you can read. It tells you how it works and step by step instructions. It’s almost like a book.” Josh smiled, it was nice to see him looking so much better compared to earlier.
“If we have nothing to do in the next hour, I can show you now…” Josh said to Akira, giving him an option to choose what he’d like to do. |
'Well.. are there things you want to do?' Asked Akira looking up into Josh eyes with his green ones. 'I can wait.. Ah! And didn't you want to check on Lady? And I promised to help Sangre.. and there were some documents you wanted me sto segregate.. and shouldn't I go to help in the garden since I can walk now?' There was much more that Akira wrote but it was just too fast to read as he got a bit nervous on him not really doing any of the jobs he should be doing.

Before managing a word in, Josh stopped talking when he saw Akira beginning to write. At first, he was reading it without any problems, but then he seemed to go faster and Josh got a bit discombobulated. Placing his hands on Akira’s, Josh looked into his eyes and spoke calmly. “Relax, calm down, don’t worry about all that right now just pay attention one at a time.” Josh smirked reassuringly before speaking again.
“The paperwork can be done tomorrow morning so don’t you worry about that. So…either you can go to Harumi or Sangre. Or even both if you’d like. Maybe stop by at the library on the way to get some more books?” Josh rubbed Akira’s hands and shook his head. “Don’t get yourself stressed out, there’s always someone in the garden and kitchen, so you won’t get into trouble if you can’t go right away. And I’ll take care of Lady while you’re gone, maybe towel wash her so she’s a bit more clean.” he thought aloud. |
