Akira's heart skipped a beat when his hand was grabbed into the warmer one and arm wrapped around his waist. When Harumi looked at them he felt some warmth creeping on his cheeks. Then he nodded. It was good to know there would be no scary things. Akira didn't like to be scared.
|
Josh waited for Sangre to talk a little more with Harumi before clearing his throat rather loudly and smiling when he caught his attention.
“You wouldn’t mind if we ate something for dinner?” Josh wondered. Sangre looked instantly perplexed and he hurried over to the stove to turn it on. “My apologies Master and Akira, I hadn’t thought of that for a while….” The chef had been so busy with what he was making for Harumi that he actually forgot about cooking them food. Josh chuckled and leaned to Akira’s ear so he could whisper. “How about we help him cook?” he wondered, thinking that cooking with Akira and Sangre would be a nice, new experience for him. |
Akira smiled lightly at the proposition and nodded eagerly. He thought the same thought as Josh - that it would be nice to cook together.
"C-can we help you, Sangre?", he asked quietly, feeling a bit shy. |
Josh kept a hold of Akira’s hand while looking over at Sangre, walking over while waiting for an answer.
While he was rushing to get things ready, the chef paused and looked at Akira and Josh, taking a few seconds to look like a startled deer before nodding his head and taking a deep breath. “Yeah, I’d appreciate it.” Smiling softly, Sangre kissed the top of Harumi’s head as she waved and began to head back to the greenery, bowing her head at Josh and Akira with a smile on her face before leaving the kitchen and leaving the three men to cook. “I thought it would be a good idea to make a nice warm soup because of Akira’s throat recently, this might help soothe it.” Sangre took out a bunch of vegetables. Onions, carrots, leeks, and potatoes, as well as a little bit of thing rice noodles. Taking out chicken and vegetable broth, Sangre looked at Akira and Josh while prepping the broth in a pot. “If you two could just cut those vegetables up for me, I’d really appreciate it. Just into cubes is fine.” he smiled lightly, trusting that Akira wouldn’t be injured if Josh was close. Nodding his head, Josh went to the counter, putting the vegetables in the sink to wash them off before placing them on a cutting board, taking another one out for Akira so he could cut as well. “You know how to cut vegetables?” he wondered, unaware if he ever did it with Sangre before, or if it was the first time he'd try. |
Akira rubbed his throat when Sangre talked about it. It was true that it hurts whenever he was using it.. but he thought there was no way around it. He needed to start using it to speak or he never would get used to it again.
"Yes. I know how to.. though I'm still sometimes clumsy with the knife..", he said, taking one of the washed vegetables and starting to peel them. "Um.. Were you here on time, Master? To stop Harumi? She didn't found it, right?" |
Josh watched Akira take one of the vegetables and begin to peel, making sure he was careful since he did just say he was clumsy with it. There was a bit of anxiety inside just in case he did get hurt, but Josh then went on to cut up the onions, knowing his eyes would sting but he didn’t mind, he’d prefer taking that job over Akira.
“Just be careful then.” Josh said softly before glancing at him again and smiling at what he asked. “No, she didn’t see it. She walked in right when I did so I caught her in time, all thanks to you.” he said while kissing Akira’s cheek and attending back to cutting. “She didn’t see it.” Josh reassured again, wanting him to know that. |
Akira let out a sigh of relief and smiled when kissed. Actually he couldn't stop the smile every time he was kissed or hugged. It felt so nice.. making him all warm inside.
"That's good. I'm happy to hear that. Thank you", he said and then looked at Sangre. "Would you be able to finish it by tomorrow, Sangre? I can help.. I.. I mean if Master is okay with it?" Green eyes glanced at Josh questioningly. Though Akira was tired by now.. with all the activies.. and stress.. but he was willing to help. He could sleep later after all.. or so he thought. |
Carefully cutting the onions into cubes- despite them falling apart-, Josh put that into a bowl and began working on some of the leaks. Looking at Akira sidelong, Josh smiled lightly and nodded. “No problem.” he said before then listening to what he was saying to Sangre. He knew Akira had been through a lot today, he wasn’t even able to stay standing earlier, so of course Josh felt a little hesitant.
Looking at Sangre and Akira, there was a pause before he sighed and spoke. “If you think you can do it, go ahead.” Josh smirked. He couldn’t decide on Akira’s actions, if he wanted to do something, there was no way he’d decline his right to do it. Sangre smiled and began to add the noodles. “I agree with him, as long as you feel okay I’d love your help. It might speed up the process and I’m almost done. Just another two or three hours.” Sangre took a deep breath at the thought, feeling a little stressed out that he wasn’t done yet and it was already getting dark outside. |
Akira took care of carrots peeling them and then cutting into cubes while thinking.
"I'm a bit tired but I can do work sitting, correct? If so I think I would be fine", he said smiling. With that said he promised himself that he would try and excercise. He couldn't be tired so easily. In the future he wanted to be able to do much more.. and he was more like playing all day than really helped so.. "I want to be useful..", said softly Akira while sliding the catted carrots into a bowl. |
Sangre nodded once more as he went to grab a glass jug and filling just a little with cold water, adding sugar and then going to the fridge to grab lemons. “Yeah, you can sit that’s fine.” He said while going over and slicing the lemons in half, prepping them to make some lemonade.
“You are useful.” Josh whispered right after he heard Akira say that, looking at him and then at the food. “You’re helping now. Besides, you help around here more than I do.” Sangre chuckled and shook his head. “That’s true.” he joked, squeezing out the out the juice with a lemon squeezer so he could make the fresh beverage. “I’m joking Master. Both of you are very useful, I appreciate your help.” The chef said. Josh then remembered what he had thought of earlier. Looking at Sangre, Josh took a few moments, wondering if he should speak aloud or talk to him in private. Since it was about Akira, Josh decided to just say it so that both could hear. “Sangre, I wanted to ask something of you, if it isn’t too much trouble.” Looking over his shoulder, Sangre nodded and waited to hear what he was thinking. “Go ahead…” Josh stopped what he was doing for a moment before he explained. “I need you to get Akira on a eating schedule, he has to gain some weight, and we both eat at odd times, sometimes even skipping lunch if we’re busy.” Josh frowned a little and glanced at Akira. “I’d like to make a schedule and you can follow it. When it hits that time you’ll give Akira his meal and ensure he eats it within the hour. Understood?” he asked, rather seriously since he took Akira’s eating habits seriously as well. Sangre looked at the man standing beside Josh and slowly nodding. “I think that’s a good idea. Of course Master, I’d do whatever you ask.” Sangre said while bowing his head. |
