"I promise to brush them to perfection." Itzel replied softly before kissing Naoki's forehead gently, then he started massaging Naoki's ear. "They're so soft and adorable."

"Good. So you will be.. mnnnn.. spared", said Naoki with a soft smile, shivering a bit when his ears were touched. "Are they? I like them because they make me hear better."

"They are very soft...and so sensitive." Itzel replied before pulling his hand away. "Simon tried to turn me into a cat once."

"He did? Tell me something more.. Why? And how it happened that you're still you? And aren't you his friend? I mean.. you don't turn friends into cats.. probably?", asked Naoki, right away his curiousity getting a best of him.

"Because he thought it would be funny. We are friends, but he has a sick sense of humor." Itzel replied with a soft chuckle after being asked so many questions.

"Funny... Hmmm.. Probably in a sense it would be.. though not for you, right?", said Naoki after few seconds of thinking. "How long you know Simon? Were you only an owl at start?"

"Well, no. Actually, believe it or not, I was an apprentice for one of mages on the council." Itzel explained as he moved off of Naoki and instead laid on his side beside him.

Naoki wrapped himself in the blanket he had and then looked ot Itzel.
"So how did you end up with Simon and as.. halfowl?", he asked curiously, his body quite heavy from how tired he was though his mind kept him awake for now.

"Well...one day my master passed away. He was an elderly Mage and fell terminally ill, but I was under suspicion from the higher Mage because the illness was so sudden. When my master took a turn for the worse, the higher Mage accused me of causing the illness, even though I told them I had no idea what the illness was caused from. So, I was banished from the castle and I had to find a way to stay under cover, so I used my shape shifting abilities to turn myself into an owl. I flew for days and days, feeding on bugs and vermin, then I came across a young boy playing alone at the orphanage and I watched him for a moment. He performed a few basic spells, water into wine, starting a small fire, those sort of things." Itzel explained.

"Oh? So you're even older than Simon is? And.. what had happen next? When you saw that boy?", asked the neko curiously, his ears twitching a bit.
