Envy smiled sweetly, and only BARELY refrained from pinching Edward. He found that for some strange reason he rather liked having the alchemist dote on him. It was..well..nice.

He sweatdropped at that thought and then glanced up at Edward, which would ALSO take getting used to, looking UP at the shrimp!

"Shouldn't you go see the fire bug?" He blinked once, tilting his head to the side a bit.

Ed suddenly snapped back to reality...and stood up...normally he would have resented Envy telling him what he should do...but comming from such a sweet little thing, he only grinned...and rubbed the back of his neck.

"OH yeah...right....you um....stay here then." Ed said walking backwards to the door....feeling almost unable to pull himself away from the cutneness that was Envy.

he did though and left.

Envy watched the door for a while after Ed had walked out of and closed it. He frowned slightly and shifted back into his normal form, getting up to do a little snooping. As he pried open the various drawers in the small study desk he heard a distinct tapping at the window. Turning, he smirked at the familiar claws of the Ultimate Lance pawing lightly at the glass and went to open the window.

Lust stepped into the room with a sultry grace that only she could naturally possess. Behind her, Gluttony ambled inside, sucking on his left index finger and blinking silently. The three sins stared at one another a long moment before Lust brushed her dark hair over a bare shoulder and folded her arms beneath her ample breasts.

"You understand we didn't come here simply to chat, Father wants to know if you've found anything out yet." Lust's painted lips pulled into a slight smirk as she regarded her brother. Gluttony teetered side to side next to her grinning and echoing in his whiny voice, "Found anything!"

Envy snorted softly, adopting a casual stance and an irritated expression. "Ha! The pipsqueak's under some sort of lock down thanks to the colonel fire bug. I'm not sure if he'll be moving out anywhere anytime soon. I haven't seen that tin can of a brother of his either. You can tell Father that as of right now Full Metal poses no threat to his plans. I'll stay around a little longer though to be certain of it."

Lust nodded and then glanced down at Gluttony when he tugged at her dress impatiently. The round sin stared up at his femme fatal and whined haplessly. "Lusst I'm hungry." He blinked small eyes at her, then looked over to Envy who simply shrugged and offered one of the books Ed had laying on the desk to Gluttony's ravenous appetite. It was gone in seconds. Envy smirked and then arched an eyebrow at Lust. "So, where are you off to? Father have any plans for you beyond re con?"

"As usual. We're still tracking the Ishbalan. Father has decided he is causing too much interference and it would be an, annoyance, if he stumbled onto things he shouldn't see." Lust shared a small smirk with Envy while Gluttony secretly swiped another book to eat. The shape shifter scowled when he realized that Gluttony was going to eat ALL the books if they didn't leave and so decided to end the visit, not that he didn't love sibling bonding time.

"Good hunting then, don't let him use up all your lives in one go Lust. Tell Father I'll come myself to deliver another report in two weeks. If he needs me before then he can send a chimera." Envy waved the duo off and smirked when Lust gave him an affirmative nod and left with her usual silent poise, Gluttony waddling along and complaining of his constant hunger pangs.

Once they had left Envy shut the window and pulled the curtains closed, he then went back to the desk and jarred one of the drawers open, pulling a small notebook from it that he determined to be written in Edward's chicken scratch writing he decided to do a little reading. Shifting his body so he was nude, he strode back to the bed and crawled under the blankets, reading through the notes until his eyes began to get heavy from the sheer dullness of it. He all ready knew how to do alchemy, even if he couldn't perform it being something other than human. Eventually he slipped into a light sleep, snuggled in the bed sheets that were so much nicer than the ones he had under Central, the notebook resting next to his head on the pillow.

Ed returned after satisfying the Colonels questions about envy and all that had conspired within the last 24 hours, Roy then made him swear to not leave HQ on the threat of being whipped senssless. Ed had grudgingly promosed to obey the orders and then left Roys office slightly miffed.

He opned the door to his room half expecting it to be in shambles, but was surprised to find a sleeping Envy, Ed then rememberd how cute he had looked as a child...Ed decided to let sleeping sins lie...and went to his desk to do some research, there was nothing else he could do on this propation sentence of Roys, there was one book in particular he needed to reference..after going through all the ones Ed was getting upset, he was sure he had left the book right there on his desk, Ed looked over to the sleeping Envy and frowned.

He walked over to Envy and smacked him over the head to wake him.

Envy had been dreaming for once as he slept. It wasn't unheard of for homunculi to dream but it was somewhat rare. He had been having a lovely little dream in which the shrimp was collared and trotting along at his heels faithfully, Ed had somehow managed to grow puppy ears and a tail but he did NOT drool everywhere like normal dogs were known to do. No not his little military dog. He was JUST about to give Ed tummy scratches too when something sharply slapped him in the head, shattering his dream.

One, this made him angry, he was ENJOYING that dream! Two, it's never a good idea to wake him from sleep in a rough manner, it makes him grumpy. Three, it's suicidal to wake a half sane sociopath with force. Envy came lunging into wakefulness with a snarl and an instant shift in his left arm, using his right to grab for whoever was stupid enough to hit him and bringing the now hissing, serpent that his arm had become within inches of said stupid one's face.

He glared, then blinked as he realized it WAS Edward, and not only relaxed but returned his left arm to normal. Yawning as if nothing had happened, he rubbed a hand through his hair and smirked.

"Yo chibi-san, back so soon? Missed me too much didn't you?"

Ed had relized too late that this was not the smartest way to wake up envy....he had jumped back prepared for a fight but was surprised to see the sin had only been reacting on instinct and as soon as he had relized it was him, returned to a more relaxed state, Ed shook his head forgetting temporarily why he was even there...then his mind snapped back.

"First dont call me CHIBI!" Ed said his voice sounding on edge. "Second...I am missing one of my most valued books..I need it for reasearch!...you havent seen it laying around have you... its a big thick black leather bound one."

Envy stared silently at Edward, shoing no outer signs that he knew anything about that book, though truth be told it was the one he had offered to Gluttony. But the chibi didn't need to know anything about that!

Envy may have wheedled a place for himself under the shrimp's good graces so to speak but Lust and gluttony or any of the others were likely to not be shown the same favor. In a way this made him grin, mentally. he was special, as always.

The sin shrugged a shoulder and shook his head once. "Sorry chibi, can't say that I know what you're talking about."

Ed feeling frusterated at Envys lack of care and he turned away angrily and kicked the chair....then going over to grab his red jacket he threw it on and started for the door....it was noon and he was hungry after all that he had been put through that morning...not caring to invite his new shadow he left the room slamming the door shut, Ed wanted some time to think about the mess he was now in....still confused of even how he had gotten in so deep.

Envy arched an eyebrow at Ed's wildly dramatic departure, but he had no intention of hanging around the room alone any longer. It was boring in there!

The sin leaped from the bed and hurried after the little alchemist, shifting his body into the child like form of his favored body as he stepped into the hall, though he opted to wear what looked like plain street clothing opposed to his usual outfit.

He had to run a little faster than usual to catch up to the now taller Edward, but he managed, then jumped as he neared the boy, and pounced onto his upper back and shoulders.

"Where are we going? I'm getting hungry you know. It's boring in there!" Granted he WAS complaining, but with his altered voice it probably didn't sound as irritating as it could have.

Envy blinked large violet eyes at a few officers they passed, mildly amused when their stares turned to smiles at the mere sight of him. He was always cute, but as a chibi of himself he was downright adorable.....adorable that could rip out your spine through your nose.

Ed had been shocked as he felt the sudden weight of Envy on his back, he was about to turn around and hurl on insult when he met those sweet chibi cheeks of lil Envy and Ed melted...and gave a half smile, he might as well play along and enjoy himself.

"Well we cant have you hungry now...you want to grow up big and strong like your big brother Ed." he grinned and walked down the halls carrying envy piggyback while officers could help but stop and watch the cutiness of a chibi alchemist carrying a chibi child.
