Tim just laughed softly, "I could care less about the price. He's more important than how much I spend." He said, smiling in the same way, and putting more emphasis on the gender. He thought about if Kobi would like a regular platinum band, or one with a jewel on the inside, and if a jewel, what color....
"Oh, so you are quite serious hm?" he asked. "Well if you were to follow me. I'll show you something that might be interesting." he said. Leading him up a flight of stairs. Where there were other clerks and customers. Showing of there rings and other fine pieces. Kobi's older brother lead him to a wide display case, filled with many styles and cuts of wedding bands. "The ones in here can start at 500 to 1,200 dollars. Let me know if you see anything interesting. But first tell me. How is it that you are still with him? Surely you can't be serious."
Tim smiles a little, looking at the wedding rings, "I love him. It's as simple as that. I am very serious about him, and he's serious about me. Each time I look at him, I feel a throb in my chest, and it makes me so happy. And... just recently, I realized that.... even if he has a family who didn't care for him, or a brother who wrongfully hates him, he still has so much happiness and love to give out to anyone who can give some back in return. And I want to make sure I give that love back, and a bit extra, for the hard times he's had when I wasn't there." He says, feeling his chest tighten again just by thinking about Kobi. He smiled to himself, "I want the best for him..." He says, looking through the rings, "I want to stay with him for a long time."
He listens to him talk about how much he really loved his little brother and would show him more love then his family. Hearing him mention him wrongfully hating him. He looked a bit puzzled. When he finally finished speaking. He was taking it all in and cleared his throat. "Well, do you see anything you like or a looking for something pacific?" he asked.
"I want something he'll be truly happy about. Something he'll wake up and look at and immediately think of us together and be happy about it... no matter where he is." He says, looking at the rings with hope. "I'd ask for your help, but I'm slightly afraid you'd try to sabotage everything." He says with sorrow on his face. "Kobi does love you, you know."
He sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. "I know...I...love him to." he tells him speaking very quietly. As if he didn't want anyone else but Tim to hear. "It's just things are...complicated. But don't tell him a said that." he tells him. Talking as if he was a different person. He looks around and looks back at Tim." I know what he would like." he said. Leading him a little further down. Opening the case. He pulls out a box with a lovely ring in it. It was a a simple gold band with a London Blue Topaz in the middle. "This something that Kobi would love."
Tim looked at the ring, then at Elliot, "I hope you're not lying." He says, smiling a little. "How are things complicated anyway?" He asks, taking out a credit card he never showed to Kobi, one he rarely used. "And I won't tell him." He says.
"I'm not lying about the ring. I know he would love it." he tells him. Looking right in the eyes. When asked why it's complicated between him and his brother. He looks at him and took the card. Sliding it and hand it back. "It's a long story. In a nutshell it was my own stupidity." he said. Handing him a piece of paper. "I need you to sign this. Claiming that you did in fact paid for the ring."
Tim looks through the paper, making sure it wasn't a fraud -he didn't want people taking his money, of course- and he signed it after seeing it was safe. "I've got time. Kobi is sleeping in our hotel room, and he's a pretty heavy sleeper after... um... well, he's a pretty heavy sleeper." He says, laughing softly, "Want to get coffee?" he asks, taking the ring and the box and sighing happily. "I'm sure you can take a short break." He says.
Elliott smirked with him saying that his brother was a heavy sleeper. "Indeed he is." he tells him. When offered for a cup a coffee. He looks down at his watch and looked at the time. "Well it is the end of my shift of the floor. I have an hour break before I have to do paper work. Besides, it give me a chance to know the man who wants to merry that clumsy brother of mine." he said with a smile on his face. Moving from behind the counter. "So, where do you want to go to get coffee?"
