Well, introducing a girl character into a yaoi anime definitely adds excitement and reality to the whole series. if you are looking for a solid example for this claim then just try watching Ikoku Irokoi Romantan.
The heroine in the story is actually married to an outraged, red-headed and a bossy woman. Nevertheless, SHE IS HOT!!! Her presence makes the hero sound funny and tens of hilarious scenes occur just because the guy and his arranged wife can't get together!
But wait..!! He's supposed to be gay,isn't he? This is a yaoi anime after all. Think about it, you'll discover the endless curiosity in cheering to the side you support. ^.~


But considering the case of Heero from Gundam wing..I can't imagine him being gay..he must be that kind of person who isn't attracted to either sex...

I know many friends of mine, both guys and girls, who enjoyed watching Relena on screen, they simply complimented her elite personality. (I never liked her anyway >-<;; )

Nope, it's not what you think.
I just often try to put myself in place of the other side and predict what might they feel/think of, that's all.
Maybe I should have made my sentence clearer by saying "she is hot, in general" or "Hot, in the eyes of men..", so that it won't be confusing to anybody.
Anyways, even if I'm straight, I think it's cool to be Bi! ;D

There's only one purpose for that, and that is to show how strong their relationship is (and to reaffirm with everyone that they are homosexual). But this works only if the couple are canon or your own characters.

Of course, if a Mary-Sue came between them and failed, she'd no longer be a Mary Sue.

So long answer short, it's not a good idea. It's not a bad idea if it isn't a Mary Sue.
