I find it interesting that most responses are that it's mostly females that are into yaoi, since it's written by women for women, and not for men.

I'm a gay male and male x male is all I'm interested in. I have no desire or attraction to females at all, whether it be in straight anime(whatever that is called :] ) or Yuri (yuck!) Every source of info about yaoi states that it's targeted to female audience, yes it's true, but that's in Japan, that might be the "tradition" there...

I really don't think gender or even sexual orientation matters much when it comes to yaoi, yuri, etc. I am gay and like yaoi, but that is just my own preference, as I have known a lesbian women to like yaoi.

i think that being a homosexual isn't a requirement. I mean i guess it might make some question but not meaning one is a homosexual. Heterosexuals i know are my friends and are actually weirded out that i read it and but one actually read it and liked it but does not consider himself attracted to men in real life.
