Cale was starting to feel so close. It was simply too good all at once. He pressed his chest against his back and moved in deeper trying to hit that spot inside of him. The harpy buried his face into his neck and purred against it "Lorien... I'm going to come" he said in a small whimper of pleasure. Wrapping wings around his chest he started to move in fast and hard again really wanting to feel him. And each time he hit that spot he could feel the other man tighten around him which only seemed to push him further and further to the edge of release.

Lorien could feel the other twitch inside of him and that was all the proof he needed that the other was close to his release. He, too, was very close. The Human moaned and trembled as his own release quickly approached. He continued to stroke his own length.

"M-Me...too..." he moaned.

However, his release had been closer than he thought. His back arched as his muscles clenched as he released with a long moan of pleasure. His hand then stopped its stroking as he waited for Cale to finish, wondering what it would feel like.

Cale continued to move inside of him and smiled when he heard him. It made him happy and when he came he felt him tighten around him. Lorien felt so tight around him and he gave a few more deep thrusts before he finally came. His whole body tensed and he moaned loudly before he gave small pants. He held himself up just a little bit and he groaned. Cale then pulled out and laid down next to him.

The harpy looked over at him and smiled happily "Thank you... that was wonderful" he said happily. Cale sighed and leaned against him some more and hummed.

His whole body trembled when he felt a sudden rush of warmth inside of him. He gasped at the strange feeling. Lorian could feel the others seed fill his body, warming it from the inside. He virtually collapsed when the other pulled out of him. The Human rolled onto his side and looked at Cale.

"I can say the same to you." he stated with a smile.

"A thought occurred to me just before you mated with me. There are a few times a year where I become feverish and I often become aroused. This had confused me until today but I realized that I, too, seem to go through heat because of the River-Folk in me. It's very short-lived, less than a day." he told Cale.

He hadn't realized that his fevers had been cause by him going into heat because of the River-Folk mating season. It had never even occurred to him until today. He only had a tiny bit of River-Folk in him but it was strong enough to cause him to go into heat but not for as long as a normal River-Folk would go into heat for.

Cale laid happily and chuckled a little bit as he listened to him. He hummed a little bit "I guess we both have it huh. Certianly going to be interesting until the egg hatches" he said chuckling. Sighing he moved closer against him and gently put a wing over him with a small humm. Turning his head to the side he blushed and gave his cheek a nuzzle to him before kissing it. Cale smiled a bit "You're really a nice person."

Lorien chuckled at Cale's reply before smiling at the gentle show of affection.

"What will happen when the egg hatches?" he asked.

He figured that Cale would no longer need him but he had grown rather fond of the Harpy recently. The thought of him having to leave hurt him a bit but he knew that he would eventually have to leave.

Cale never thought about that. He didn't answer right away as he looked down and thought. He hummed before he looked back up at him and gently ran his wing across his cheek "I was thinking... maybe... you could stay... even after the egg hatches?" he said looking down a bit. It was kind of a dumb question in his opinion. He thought the other might want to leave and have a normal life again instead of staying up here all day. The harpy sighed a little bit and shifted closer to him. He actually didn't want him to go. Lorien was the first human to really care about this and not try and hurt him.

The harpy cooed and nuzzled him "I'll bring you back down if you want to leave" he muttered "But I was thinking if you do stay... we could find some place much more accessible to live. Where you could move around more freely instead of staying on this little patch of cliff."

Lorien smiled widely.

"I can stay? Really?" he asked.

His smile then slowly faded as a thought occurred to him.

"I would love that but...wouldn't you like to have more offspring in the future? I'm a male so I can't bare children. There have been stories of male River-Folk who have been able to bare children but I'm not sure that I'm one of those because I only possess a fraction of River-Folk blood in my being." he told Cale.

Cale listened towhat he had to say and he thought about it "Well... even if you can't ... i kinda... can.That's how pairs that are male have children. A bit different for pairs of females but they can have children too..." he said blushing "Either way I would like children with you. You are the sweetest an kindest person ever" he said smiling. Cale sat up more and licked his cheek before kissifg himan smiling.

He blushed brightly when he heard the news that Cale had the ability to bare children.

"Really? I would like that but...I'm not sure if I can do something like that to you. Human females go through a lot of pain in childbirth. I would hate to see that happen to you." he told Cale, smiling at the gentle lick and then also at the kiss.

Lorien returned the gesture, licking Cale's cheek where there weren't any feathers.

Cale grinned at the gesture he made a he wrapped him up more in his wing "I wouldn't mind it. I would be happy to have your children. Besides when my mate had her egg she didn't seem like she was in much pain. Very uncomfortable I suppose" he said shrugging. Cale wraoped his tail around him gently and nuzzeled him. Cale really wouldn't mind at all. The harpy would love to have his children. He would be the perfect parent for them too. He wouldnt know how they woud turn out but he would love them anyway

"Anyway I'm tired... why don't we rest up bit?" he asked as he closed his eyes.

"That may be so but females are made to bare children and give birth." he replied.

He then heard what the other said about being tired and he nodded. Lorien was also tired and he felt dirty but he wouldn't mind resting before he requested to be brought down to the ocean where he could quickly clean himself up.

"Okay. I'm also a bit tired." he said.

The harpy nodded his head a bit. He supposed it would be a bit awkward but this could be discussed at another time. There was no need to think about more children when one was already almost here even if it wasn’t the other’s by blood. Cale yawned and listened to him. He wrapped them both up in the fur on the floor to keep nice and warm. He glanced up at the egg and saw it would be fine with the piece of fur wrapped around it.

Snuggling up to the other he closed his eyes gently. It didn’t take long and soon enough he was fast asleep. As he slept very soft sounds that were very close to purrs came from his throat. Cale really didn’t know it as he sleep with the other close to his body.

He lied there, listening to the sounds that the other made as he slept. He felt warm as he lie there, wrapped in the others warmth. Lorien soon fell asleep, soothed by the sound of the Harpy breathing as he slept. Sleeping next to someone was a very nice feeling, one that he enjoyed immensely.

Later he woke up very warm and very happy. He looked to the other that was all wrapped up with him and smiled. He kissed his cheek gently before slipping out from him gently. He felt a bit cold himself since he was so warm before but shook it off. Cale quickly checked the egg and listened to it and was glad to hear a heart still beating in there. Then he simply moved and sat and waited for the other to wake up not wanting to disturb his rest at all.

Lorien slept soundly for a short while more. He had grown cold because of the wind that was blowing that day. His body shivered slightly, having lost Cale's warmth. He moved to stand but winced. Lorien was sore from having allowed Cale to mate with him.

"How are you feeling?" he asked, choosing to lie still for a while longer.

Cale smiled when he started to wake up but frowned at the wince. Moving closer to him and laid down next to him again and hummed "I'm good but the question is are you good?" he asked softly. He moved his wing and gently ran it down his back. He didn't mean to hurt him with the whole mating thing and now he felt a bit bad "I didn't hurt you too much did I?"

Lorien smiled when the Harpy approached and then ran a wing down his back. He smiled at Cale.

"No. You didn't hurt me. It was actually rather enjoyable. I'm just a little sore. It was my first time, after all and we didn't have anything to make the entry any easier for the both of us." he told the Harpy.

Listening to him he supposed he was right. They really didn't have anything and he really wanted to do it that he didn't think of it. The thought of yesterday made him blush a little bit and he smiled though at remembering how good it felt. He shuddered slightly and moved closer to him "Do you want to go and get cleaned up?" he asked "I can t take you do to the waterif you want."

He smiled when the other asked if he would like to get cleaned up. Lorien nodded.

"Yes. Very much so. I feel sticky." he stated, ending it with a sigh.

The Human liked to feel clean, at least somewhat.

Nodding he helped him up and moved him outside. It was slightly colder up here to he brought the fur with him. He wrapped it around the other before flying up and wrapping his tail around him and gently grabbed him with his claws and lifted him up and flew down. It wasn't that long of a flighty of course and they got to the water. Cale set him down closer to it with a smile before he slipped in himself. Going under and then right back up his feathers slicked down to his body making him look a lot thinner than he was and maybe a little bit different but he smiled as he jumped in again and playfully started to splash about.

Lorien smiled when he was carefully lifted and then flown down to the edge of the water. He walked slowly into the water. It felt nice. He walked until the water was up to his waist. The Human watched Cale for a moment as he allowed the water to wash away the stickiness from the other night.

"This feels nice. You know...I'll kind of miss this village but I'd still like to live with you for as long as you'll allow me to." he stated, smiling to Cale.

Cale simply floated a bit as he listened to him. At first he was going to suggest that he really could go back but when he listened to what he had to say fully it made him smile a little bit. He hummed and swam back closer to him. The harpy purred and then he nuzzled him “When I bring you back up there I think I’ll go out for a bit and look for a few new places that might be good and aren’t occupied. Does that sound good to you?” he asked.

As he waited for an answer he decided to clean his feathers out. The dirt that could get underneath them made him a bit uncomfortable. It wasn’t a hard task so he easily did it himself before going back over to him and cooed happily and kept smiling at him.

Lorien nodded.

"That sounds good but the only problem is that if you find someplace more accessible to me then it also means it more accessible to a variety of predators that aren't currently able to get to your offspring. I'm still only human, Cale. I'm worried that a predator might appear that I can't fight off." he stated.

However, as it was, only the more vicious predators could even get to Cale's cliff-side den. Among those predators were Manticores, Winged Chimeras, Griffons, Dragons, other Harpies, and a variety of other beasts.

He listened to what he said and that sort of destroyed his plan. He looked down a little bit “Well I’ll think about it but I still want to look. If I can’t find one I come back and we stay where we are. But if I do find one I want to take you quickly to check it out and get your opinion” he said with a small hum. Cale nuzzled him a bit and soon got out of the water dripping a bit.

Shaking his body out he needed his wings to dry a little bit more before he could bring them back up. The harpy sat down and watched him with as he sat drying out “Are you hungry?” he asked curiously.

"I can't leave the egg, Cale. At least I can see the cliff from here but I don't think that I can just leave the egg, even for a second." he stated, having already fallen into a sort of 'motherly' role.

He looked back at the Harpy when asked if he was hungry and nodded.

"Yes but I would like to catch food for us, this time. As I said before, I am part River-Folk so I am more at home in the water." he replied with a smile.

Cale frowned just every so slightly before pushing it out of his mind for now. He’ll have to think about it a little bit more than just a few moments. When he saw him nod he was about to get up when he heard that Lorien would catch the food for them. The harpy nodded his head at him “I’m going to check on the egg and I’ll be right back down” he said smiling and giving his cheek a kiss.

Shaking his wings out he flew back up and checked on the egg. It was still nice and warm and nothing ha messed with it. It made him smile a little bit and he purred before going back down and sitting on the shore line and waiting to see if he needed help.

Lorien had already caught 3 large fish by the time the Harpy returned.

"Is two good for you? I only need one but do you need more?" he asked Cale, aligning the fish on the shore.

However, something caught his attention. It was a feminine giggle. He turned to see a head peaking out of the water. A River-Folk? Out here? He was certain that no tribe lived in this area. The water was just too cold to support them.

"Cale? I'm not seeing things, am I?" he asked.

She really was there so he wasn't imagining things.

Cale approached closer and shook his head “No two should be plenty for me” he said smiling. He picked up two fish before he heard something. His head lifted up and he looked around and saw the same thing Lorien was see. Cale tilted his head to the side a little bit. The other seemed to be confused about seeing here. Hearing the questions he shook his head no as well “No… no you’re not. She’s really there” he said said as he moved to sit next to him.

The harpy watched, tail moving idly back behind him. He wondered why he seemed surprised to see her out there. He really didn’t understand it. Cale gently nudged at him “Is there something wrong?”

"River-Folk have never before been spotted in these waters. I had thought that it was too cold for them to survive in." he told Cale.

He attention was then drawn back to the Mermaid as she approached. She was cautious of Cale but the didn't stop her from going as close to the beach as she could. Lorien stood and moved into the shallow water, sitting on his knees. The Mermaid reached out to touch her hand to his cheek.

"Our blood runs through you." she stated, seeming to be confused.

"Our kind don't normally mate outside of our species." she added.

Lorien smiled and nodded.

"I've heard that said before. However, this Harpy is my mate so that means that I too am mating outside of the species." he told her.

The Mermaid giggled again.

"I'll be honest with you since you are kin but your mate terrifies me. I'm surprised that he doesn't do the same to you since you share blood with the River-Folk." she told him, her tail-fin swishing about in the shallow water.

Cale titled his head to the side more and hummed. So that’s why he was confused. Turning his head back to the mermaid he sat still. He could tell she was nervous about him but he found that understandable so it didn’t bother him all that much. Cale hummed a little bit and listened to what was exchanged between them. The harpy frowned a bit at the last thing that was said from her. He really didn’t appreciate it much and his body stature showed it a bit.

The harpy then looked back at Lorien and then the mermaid once more “I would never hurt him you know. Lorien is precious to me” he said with a huff. Cale moved closer and sat in the water now watching carefully.

Lorien stroked Cale's feathers with a gentle hand in order to calm him down a bit.

"I must be going now." said the Mermaid.

"If you ever wish to talk then my tribe will be around. We plan to stay here, at least for a while." she told him before turning around and preparing to head back into deeper waters.

"Wait." said Cale.

"Can you tell if my blood is strong enough for me to...uh...bare offspring?" he asked, blushing a bit as he asked his question.

"It is. However, if you want to have offspring then it would have to be at the time when the River-Folk in you is strongest." she told him before swimming off.

"When my blood is strongest?" he asked aloud but mostly to himself.

He then turned back to Cale, picking up the last fish.

"I'm ready to go back now. It's getting a bit cold." he told the Harpy.

Cale’s feathers were ruffled a little bit but when Lorien ran a hand across his feathers it made him feel a little bit better. He moved closer and nuzzled him and wrapped his wings around him protectively as he continued to listen. When Lorien asked the question to her he blushed a bit but it made him smile a bit and kissed his cheek as he let go and moved back up towards shore as he picked up the last of the fish. The harpy nodded his head and gently picked him and the fur up and flew back up to the cave and set him down.

Cale took the fish from him and set it to the side as he sat by the egg and protectively wrapping his tail around it and he smiled at Lorien and motion him to come and join him. The harpy purred slightly “So what do you think that mermaid meant?”

He smiled as he was lifted and flown back to the cave. Lorien shook the water from his hair before slipping back into his clothes. Without fur or feathers he couldn't afford to run around unclothed for much longer. Lorien walked over to sit down beside his mate and picked up his fish.

"The only thing I could come up with would be the short time I'm in heat. That's all it could be, in my mind. It's a short window but I lose myself to my instinct for reproduction temporarily. That has to be when the River-Folk in me is strongest." he replied.

Cale leaned against his mate with a smile. It made him hum and purr happily. Listening he nodded his head "I suppose so. Though either one of us could do it to so that you know. You don't have to be the one to go through that if we do, you know, want more children" he said smiling. The harpy hummed and pulled the egg out from the wrappings and gently held it and set it into his lap and gently patted it "Not long now till this little one comes~ I'm so excited Lorien" he said. Even if the other couldn't tell he could. The egg would be ready to hatch and soon a little harpy would come from it and it made him very happy to know this.

Lorien had to set his fish aside when Cale put the egg into his lap. He gently rubbed the egg, hugging it closer to his body but being extremely gentle as he did so. It was so warm.

"That's true but I would like to give it a try, especially if you decide to give baring offspring a try." he replied.

"It'll certainly be an interesting relationship if we both decide to bare offspring. Speaking of which, the River-Folk mating season is coming up soon." Lorien added.

Listening he nodded. He would like that very much. He alwayswondered what it would be like to be the one to bare the child. He imagined it would hurt but the initial waiting might be fun and seeing a stomach swell and know a child is in there made him purr. Nodding his head he chuckled and cooed befire hearing the mating season for him. Hr blushed and nodded his head "Oh... would you like to try then?"

Lorien thought about it for a moment before nodded.

"I wouldn't mind. We haven't known each other for very long but I am already very attached to you. So much so that the thought of baring your offspring is a pleasant idea." he replied.

"However, I would like to try mating with you as well, at some point. That is...if you'd allow it." he said, blushing.

Cale listened to him an he blushed. He really felt happy at the moment. He grinned at this and he pulled him lose and nuzzle him. Cale never thought he woud find another mate but Lorien was perfect and he liked him. The harpy purred loudly before pulling back and gently caressed his cheek before hearing what he said. He smiled "I woud like that... Iwould like that a lot for you to try" he said holding him and the egg.

Lorien couldn't help but smile as Cale pulled him and the egg close. He loved the feeling of the Harpy gently caressing his cheek.

"Just...Don't be disappointed if it doesn't happen. I am still more Human than anything else and Human males can't bare offspring. I hope that I am able to but I don't want you to be disappointed if I am unable to do so." he told Cale, leaning in to give the Harpy's lips a quick and gentle kiss.
