Akira chuckled hearing all the talk and then nodded.
"It seems like a very good idea.. though I'm not sure if I would be any good with searching. And.. mm.. shouldn't miss Harumi get her presents before that?", he asked, remembering one of the men.. or was it Harumi?.. saying it would be time to give it after they would finish eating. |
“We can double team, don’t worry. We’ll find them.” Sangre smiled, but when he heard Akira mention the gifts, the chef nearly looked shocked. “I can’t believe I forgot. Of course, thanks.” Sangre stood up and went to get something while Josh pulled the rectangle box out of his pocket that had a bow on the top and a little card on the side.
Sangre returned with a similar box, although this one was just slightly smaller. “Alright, I’ll give mine first.” Clearing his throat, Sangre got on one knee and smiled as he opened the box. “Tada!” Harumi nearly had a heart attack when the chef propped himself up on one knee. As her heard raced she looked at the box and sighed in relief when it was opened. Inside were earrings, beautiful green, diamond earrings. They were a floral shape, studs that seemed to match her style. “It’s stunning, thank you Sangre.” She smiled, hugging him tightly and grasping the box so she could try them on right away. “They look expensive…” she then mumbled. Sangre chuckled and shrugged while hugging her back. “It was worth it.” Josh looked at the two and then peeked at Akira. He hoped he wasn’t too nervous about the drawing idea, in fact Josh knew he could do it, and that Harumi would love something so sentimental. When Harumi said a few more ‘thank you’s’ and put the earrings on, she looked at Josh and Akira with a smile on her face. “There’s no need for you to get me anything Master, you don’t hav-” “I did!” Josh said right away, sliding the box towards her and smiling. “It’s for you and Sangre…” |
Akira just nodded once again and then smiled when Sangre told him he forgot about giving time. Waiting for all to show their presents he got sat quietly. He was a bit nervous about proposing to draw as a gift. When Josh gave the ticket to Harumi he waited to see hers and Sangres reaction to it before he would say anything. Though was it a good idea? In his eyes he wasn't really good. At most he would call it.. acceptable..

Harumi carefully grasped the box, looking at Josh and then Sangre as though she was expecting him to know what it was. With an equally blank expression, the chef watched as Harumi opened the box slowly and creased her brow, picking out the two tickets and then her eyes lit up.
“M-Master…this…you can’t give this to us.” Harumi spoke with disbelief. Her hands were nearly shaking and her eyes almost watering with happy tears. She had always wanted to visit the Netherlands, their gardens were ones of beauty and had flowers that she had never seen before. “Thank you.” Harumi said while nearly jumping over the table to hug Josh, surprising the man although he smiled and hugged her back. “You’re welcome. Happy Birthday.” Sangre gently took the tickets from her, reading it to see what her happiness was all about until he noticed they were plane tickets. “For the both of us?” Sangre asked with surprise in his voice. Josh nodded and let go of Harumi so she could hug Sangre instead. “Yeah, we can go together.” she said. “But…how about the kitchen?” Sangre wondered while wrapping his arms around Harumi and glancing at Josh, still looking shocked. Josh smiled and looked around. “I have a sue chef that will come in and do it for the week. Plus me and Akira can try to make a few things together, as well as take care of the flowers while you’re gone.” Sangre finally grinned and looked at Harumi, not having a break in…years. “We appreciate this, so much. Thank you.” Nodding his head, Josh glanced at Akira and squeezed his hand. “Go ahead Akira, it‘s your turn now.” He said softly so only Akira would be able to hear. |
Akira observed Harumi's reaction as well as Sangre's. It was nice to see them so happy. Though when he heard it was his turn he paled and then blushed. His heart started to beat like crazy and he had those very passimistic thoughts though the main was that he would look so stupid with the proposition of drawing as a present.. Squeezing masters hand tightly he gulped and looking on the floor he started to talk.
"I...", he started but his voice cracked form how nervous he was. "Master said.. I-I'm good with d-drawing.. so maybe.. I mean.." Akira talked moer and more quiet only to end up falling silent when his nervousness overwhelmed him. |
Josh glanced at Akira and held his hand tighter after feeling the hold tighten. He could easily tell he wasn’t sure about this, although Josh knew it would be a wonderful, sentimental present.
Harumi kept on smiling as she focused on Akira and listened to what he was saying. Slowly her smile died down and she looked at him softly. “You can draw? Can you draw something for me then? I’d love that.” The gardener insisted. Even though the present didn’t cost a thing, Harumi really appreciated the fact that Akira was trying, not to mention she had never received anything that was as unique as artwork. Sangre then looked at Akira and smirked. “Can you draw for me for my birthday?” The chef asked with interest in his eyes. |
Akira glanced at Harumi and blushed some more.
"R-really..? Would that be okay..? I.. don't have anything.. s-so it's the only thing I can give", he said quietly and then looked surprised at Sangre. Blushing some more he nodded. If that was what they both wanted he would be glad to do that. |
Harumi waved her hand and smiled more, obviously in a great mood today. “Nonsense Akira. I’m actually excited to see you draw. Are you good with portraits? Or…do you draw objects?” She wondered, asking with lots of interest and making sure not to persist too much.
Sangre smiled and put his arm around Harumi while looking at Akira, waiting to see his answer. Holding back a chuckle, Josh was glad to see both were interested, and he himself was happy for Akira. It would be nice to have him do something for them and not think he hadn’t given Harumi anything. For now he kept quiet, although if anything happened to make Akira quiet or uncomfortable, he’d say something. |
"I don't know..", he said a bit surprised with those question but not so nervous anymore."I draw yesterday.. first time since I was small.. And Master says it was good. And he said it would be a good present.."
Akira bit his lower lip and looked on the floor. Actually he wasn't sure if he was any good but.. if Josh said so.. who he was to say otherwise. |
Harumi nodded softly and smiled. “That’s fine. I’ll love anything you draw, and I’m sure it’s better than if I tried.” She giggled, knowing just how bad she was at art. “I’ll look forward to that drawing. You don’t have to rush and do it all now you know? You have until twelve at midnight to try and finish one.” Harumi said sincerely. She could care less if he even gave it to her tomorrow, but of course she knew Akira wouldn’t allow that. At least now he had over twelve hours to do a drawing for her
