Akira took off his shoes and then joined Josh in the bed. He was happy he choose what he choose even more when he heard other male loved dragons. Smiling softly to himself he laid down on his stomach and looked at Josh. It was actually quite exciting to have someone willing to read for him. Never before no one done that for him.. and now it was Josh, his boyfriend. Was there something better than that?

Once Akira got onto the bed, Josh was clearly happy. Smiling and getting comfortable himself, the older male sighed and opened the book, getting as close to Akira as possible so that both could see the pages inside. “Alright, hopefully I don’t read too slow for you.” Josh chuckled, showing off the title page and reading it aloud calmly.
“Fire Within Flames. Story written by George. E. Adams.” Josh began, turning the page and starting off on the first chapter.

Reading for the next half hour, Josh kept his voice soft, calm, although whenever there was dialogue he changed his voice only slightly to make it stand out a little more compared to the other text. Ending the second chapter, Josh took quick glances at Akira while finishing it off.
“Unaware that the dragon had yet to settle, the townspeople down below danced and sang for the false death of the monster. Then, everything seized when a loud roar erupted across the mountaintops, the immense creature swooped down from atop it’s peak and headed straight towards the town below…”
Josh smiled, closing the book and kissing Akira quickly with a light chuckle. “The rest is a surprise.” he teased playfully.

Listening closely to what Josh was reading he relaxed. It was so easy to do so with others voice so calm and his body so close. When Josh glanced at Akira it was clear that he was really into the story, seeing inside his mind everything that was read. Young servant blinked when it all stopped all of a sudden, flinching at the sudden move. He really wanted to know what would happen later but he nodded obediently.
"It wouldn't kill the townspeople, right?", he asked quietly, looking questioningly at Josh while his cheeks were still a bit flushed from the story.

Josh couldn’t deny how adorable Akira looked, wondering what happened next with those beautiful eyes of his. “How about we read a little of the next chapter then? So we don’t go to bed wondering the entire night?” Josh asked, slowly opening the book yet again and flipping to the third chapter.
“I hope the dragon wouldn’t do that. They wouldn’t deserve something so…brutal and unnecessary. But they did try to kill him first.” Josh pointed out, still not wanting the people who were innocent, such as children and babies, to be killed just because of the others.

With a smile he nodded his head eagerly. He was quite like a child right now with how excited he was with a simple tale.
"Yes.. they did.. but there are children.. They are innocent.. probably?", he said softly. "Wouldn't it be unfair if they would need to die because of their parents..?"

Josh peeked over at Akira and nodded. “I was thinking the exact same thing. I wouldn’t want them hurt…” he muttered and focused back on the book. “Okay, let’s read the first few pages…” Squinting slightly, Josh began to read yet again, slowly and carefully, making sure to pronounce each word crisply and efficiently. As he got to the part with the dragon getting closer to the people, Josh seemed to grow with interest.
“It swooped down, landing in front of a large group of the townspeople and showing off his razor sharp teeth. Before all of the people could flee, the dragon let out a loud roar and lowered it’s head, subsiding any signs of aggression.”
Josh cocked an eyebrow and looked even more interested. “Despite that, a mob ran over, unknowingly getting ready to harm the dragon in an attempt to ‘save’ the others, but before they could put any harm on him…a child stood before the dragon and spoke. ‘Please, don’t hurt him.’ he said in a loud, shrill voice, stopping the people in their tracks.” Josh smiled slightly when he read that. It was a nice change compared to other books of dragons massacring towns and killing everyone in sight. “I wasn’t expecting that.” Josh then muttered.

"Oh", gasped Akira when he felt about the mob.. actually feeling really sad about the dragon and then his eyes rose wider when the child stopped them. "Good.."
He really felt relieved with the situation in book. Killing.. it was written into the history of humanity.. but it didn't mean they needed to do that. People that is.

Noticing that Akira seemed to ease up a bit, Josh placed one of his hands on his boyfriends back and softly traced along his spine while reading a little more.
“The child walked up to the creature, eyes wide while the people screamed to get away…but he didn’t. Instead, the young boy stood before the dragon, unharmed and unscathed while placing a hand against it’s scaled body. ‘Why do you want to kill him when he hasn’t done anything wrong?’ the boy asked just as the dragon lifted his head to look around. And that was when the townspeople noticed it had no intention of harming them, but in fact, it had came to the town for something entirely different…”
Turning the page, Josh was about to continue before he noticed an hour had went by. It was pitch dark outside, other than the moon vaguely casting a glow throughout the sky.
“We should pause for now. We’ll continue soon, I promise.” Josh whispered.

Akira smiled at the touch as it tickled a bit but other than that was focused on the books plot. It was kind of funny when he nodded at the boys question and then smile yet once again, hearing the next sentences. When Josh paused one more time he looked at where he was looking and noticed it was dark outside.
"Let's see the stars", he nodded, getting up from the bed.

Putting the book aside, Josh watched as Akira got up from the bed, taking a moment to just…admire him before getting up as well and going towards the window with a smile on his face. It was evident that he was doing something he really enjoyed, and knowing Akira had at least some interest made him happier.
Looking up at the stars without the use of a telescope, Josh looked closely and then glanced over at Akira. “I remember when you first came into my room. We looked at the stars…” Josh smiled, not mentioning that they ‘made love’ that night, not knowing if it was a little too much to say in the moment they were sharing.
“Come, I want to show you something.” Josh then spoke while looking at the sky, his eyes focused on one spot, not looking anywhere else.
