Akira didn't really know how to react to Josh's warm arm around his waist.. and then he heard that question. For few moments he didn't react and then he chuckled. It sounded really funny to him, even more compared to how nervous/embarrassed about the situation. It made him relax a bit. 'Are you sure, Master?' Akira tried to joke back a bit. He still wasn't sure about jokes and such.. but if one wouldn't try then he wouldn't learn, right?

Josh was a little paranoid when the question seemed to drag out, but hearing that amazing sound of Akira chuckling, it instantly took that paranoia out of the equation. Josh smiled in reply before answering him. "I'm positive." Shaking his head and chuckling himself, Josh gently lifted Akira so he could place him on his lap, hoping he was comfortable enough when he set him down.
Josh closed his eyes, leaning his head against his boyfriends shoulder and letting out a long breath. "There...are you comfortable? I'm probably a very nice heating pad for your butt." Josh smiled against the other males neck, resisting laughter. |
Hearing other male chuckle made Akira glad he tried to joke. It showed him he wasn't that bad at it. When he was already sitting on Josh's lap he couldn't stop himself from thinking it was really quite comfortable.. and nodding to the question he heard almost autimatically before he heard the second part of what was said. 'What is a heating pad?'

Josh lifted his head so he could look at Akira, his question wasn't stupid, in fact it made sense why he didn't know what it was. Thinking of how to describe it, Josh parted his lips and began to whisper to him in reply. "It's a mat, or a big pad of fabric that can be plugged into a wall. You turn it on and adjust the temperature, and it warms up. It's like a blanket that stays warm, but a little smaller. If you ever feel cold you can grab one, I have one in a box at the bottom of my closet, it comes with instructions." Josh smiled, knowing that Akira wasn't the warmest person in the world, so having a blanket that could keep him warm at night was a nice thought, especially since it was he himself that usually kept him nice and toasty most of the time.

Akira was listening closely to his master's explanation. It sounded.. interesting. There was so many things he didn't know that even exsited. Why would his previous master keep him in the dark about it all? But Akira knew that ignorance made people more vunerable for manipulation.. though on the other hand why would there be need to do that to him. He was obedient. Shaking his head he pushed those thoughts away. There would be a lot of time in the coming week when he would have time to think about such things. For now he just wanted to focus on Josh. No one ever was so good for him as the man whose lap he was sitting on. That kiss was chaste.. but quite planned this time. 'Thank you. For everything.'

After the explanation, Josh noticed Akira's eyes, trying to read what he was thinking although he was very surprised to feel those perfect lips press to his shortly. Even something so small and chaste made Josh happy, so much so that it would probably make him feel better no matter what the situation.
Reading Akira's hands, Josh then smiled vaguely and rubbed his boyfriends back. "You're welcome Akira. Thank you too, for just....being you. You make me so happy...." Josh brought his other hand up so he could slowly brush away Akira's bangs in order to see his eyes better. "It's my pleasure to have done all of this for you and...our future will be no different." he said finally in a low voice. |
'No different? From what?' His green eyes glanced at Josh and it was clear he didn't really understood.. but at the same time that he was really happy with what he heard ealier. To say the truth.. for the first time in his life he felt special. After all someone thanked him for being him. If that wouldn't make him feel special then what would? So far it wasn't good thing to be himself.. but Josh changed it. And for that he was really greatful.

"From now on." Josh said instantly, adjusting himself so he could see Akira's face a little better. "I mean...you know how we're happy now? How you're learning new things and experiencing life so much differently now more than ever before? Well that isn't going to change, in fact I'm sure our life together will keep surprising us."
Josh brushed his hand down Akira's neck and towards his chest, sprawling his hand over his heart to hear it beating against his palm. "As long as we live, I promise you Akira that I'm not going to leave you. I want you to always know that.." Looking down at his hand, Josh smiled softly and then whispered again, very quietly. "Just as long as you feel the same way that is." |
Akira listened to everything that Josh had to say, quite surprised with it. Master never would leave him? But.. wasn't 'never' really long time? How it could be possible to someone to know something enough strongly to say 'never'? And besides... why would anyone want to spent his life with someone like him when he could have someone much better?

Taking a deep breath, Josh looked back up at the sky to see the stars, remembering just how much he used to 'love' them when he was younger, before Akira showed up. Now it almost seemed as though they weren't as special, as if Akira himself was so much more important to him now in comparison to them. Although of course he still appreciated the sky at night, how the stars hide amongst the sun during the day, only to show themselves at night.
Josh sighed, his eyes sliding closed while his arms wrapped tighter around Akira. So many thoughts rushed through his mind, he wanted to be here with the man he cared so much for, but Josh knew this week would break it all. The wedding would be called off, it was only in another two and a half weeks and it would be cancelled (hopefully). Also, he'd have to speak to her family, as well as his aunt that he wasn't a huge fan of. It wouldn't be fun but....Josh knew once it was all over he'd be happier, he'd feel more..'free'. Looking into Akira's eyes, Josh silently wondered what he was thinking. There was always the simple thing as asking him directly, although it seemed forced to ask Akira what was on his mind. Instead Josh wondered himself, trying to determine his boyfriends thoughts just through a simple glance in comparison to a question. |
