Sheer sighed, "I don't mind the concept, I can understand why your species can't survive in our lands, and I understand you also depend on us, so your food can't be horrible"

"Well our meats are rather good Sheer. Just try some and tell me what you think ok?" Jani asked.

Sheer nodded "If I ever return to the plains I'll make sure to get some of ours for you, though I warn you, I'm not sure your bodies can handle them, they are quite cold where we live"

"Its ok Sheer. I don't eat food anyways. I'm a vampire and I only drink blood. I thank you for the offer though." Jani said with a small smile.

Sheer smiled, "Well our blood is colder then ice so I doubt partaking of mine would be particularly pleasant"

"I could never drink your blood Sheer. I would hate doing that. I drink stuff like pigs blood and whatnot." Jani explained to Sheer.

Sheer sighed "Our people do know what vampires are, they can't avoid pure blood for long and animal blood is far from pure"

Jani sighed. "I know that Sheer. I try to fight the urge though."

"But you still do it, because you have to I will say, but that doesn't always make it right, how long have you been a vampire?"

"I was brought across in 1763 Sheer. I've witnessed everything historical that happened." Jani said as he sat on a nearby chair.

Sheer smiled "Hmm... interesting, what is your kinds current year? I'm curious as to how yours and mine pair together"

"Well I have never met another vampire around here Sheer. But I know of one who is close to my age." Jani said in a semi confused tone.

Sheer sighed, "I mean what year do you think it is? according to us it's the year 2158

"Oh. Well I swear its like 1945 or something like that. Why do you ask Sheer?" Jani asked.

"Just wondering... our timeline began at the birth of my father, who's the king still, I suppose we're alike vampires in the way that we're immortal"

"Wow. Your father sounds like a nice man Sheer." Jani said with a sigh.

Sheer gritted his teeth, got up, and left the room, not saying anything

"Sheer did I say something wrong?" Jani asked, standing up and following Sheer. "Come on please talk to me Sheer."

Sheer sat and looked down, "Just leave me alone" He said, his voice carrying more of a coldness then normal

"I can not nor will I Sheer. I happen to be worried about you right now you know." Jani said as he sat in his chair.

Sheer sighed, "If you know what's good for you you'll stop"

"I don't however Sheer. I'm a vampire who's killed a lot of innocent people. I never cared about their screams of pain until one day when I killed the wrong person. They were royalty. Well long story short they hired a witch to banish me to this town for eternity. Or until the witch dies." Jani explained.

"Try being 19 and being forced into kingship after slavers killed most of your people including your father, then kidnapped you, stole the only thing you hold dear, and sell you to some over zealous vampire who can't shut his fucking mouth!" Sheer said quite angrily

Jani glared at Sheer. "Watch your tongue boy! I could kill you if I felt like it!" He barked at Sheer.

"You act as if that'd be anything rather then a fucking blessing, your complaining about living in a mansion, having incredible amounts of money and doing whatever you want, you'd want to fucking die too if you went through what I have!" Sheer yelled at him, looking up, revealing he was crying

Jani wasn't sure how to react to that as he shut up, looking into Sheer's eyes. "Your right I don't know what that's like Sheer. But I do understand emotions." He said, standing up and walking over to Sheer as he pulled him into a hug. "Don't use your powers on me Sheer. I will not hurt you. You have my word."

Sheer shuddered a moment, then pushed him away, "I Said Get Away From Me!" He screamed and walked away, the doorway closing behind him in a wall of ice

Jani growled before turning away and heading to his room. "Fuck that boy is hard to deal with."

Sheer found his way back to his room, the ice back in the doorway shattering apart into nothing as he blocked his own doorway, layed on his bed, and cried

Jani was worried about the boy, not sure how to help him other then leave him alone so he could cry. "I'll check on him in a couple hours."

Sheer sighed, he'd turned the room into almost a winter land from the amount of ice and snow that covered the walls, feeling more at home as he recreated a small sculpture of his people's home, the small village of under-ice huts, all of it to a small scale on his floor as he wished he was home

Jani was sitting on his bed, sighing as he stared at the ceiling. "Something tells me that I should let him go see his people. They should see that he's ok at least. I only wish I could go with him."

Sheer sighed and layed back on his bed, "Jani's not so bad I guess... he hasn't made me do anything, he's considerate... I wonder if I should tell him..."

Jani sighed as he stood up and walked out of his room. "I should go talk to the boy. I don't want him to think that I hate him."

Sheer sighed, he made the room begin to snow from the ceiling, the air frigid but to him it was like normal

Jani walked twords Sheer's door, feeling a freezing draft. "Why is it so damn cold around here?" He asked as he knocked on the door.

Sheer sighed, "The door's open, take care though, it may not be warm enough for a lengthy visit"

"Sheer I just want to talk to you is all." Jani said as he opened the door and looked around. "Wow. Did you do this yourself Sheer?"

Sheer sighed and nodded, "Yeah... it reminds me of home... it can't compare in the slightest... but a memory is better then nothing"

"Yeah I understand that. S-So can I talk to you Sheer? I promise I'm not angry at you." Jani said as he stood by the door.
