When Gary was already in the bathroom John's alarm went of. With a small groan from under the blanket crept a hand and shut it off. Yawning he sat up and stretched. Remembering how drunk was Gary yesterday and what he did he chuckled but then remembered his own reaction to that and blushed. Ah well.. It was a.. reflex. Yes. Nothing more. Nothing to worry about. They were just really, really drunk and it was all. Taking a glass with water he drank it, sighing with pleasure. Oh yes.. it was good to have it here after yesterday.
|
"Hey..." said a voice from behind him. Gary walked around to the front and slowly sat at the end of the couch.
"...Good morning, John." He closed his eyes, his hands shaking a little. Should he apologise? Or pretend it never happened? "So...umm...I guess...you'll need..the bathroom...now...after that...what do you want for breakfast?" |
John jumped up and looked at Gary. When he how stressed the man was it wasn't hard to understand why.
"Listen. What happened yesterday it was all because of alcohol. You don't need to stress about it. I know you are straight and never would do that sober. So.. no hard feelings", he said as he stood up, taking his clothes. "And as for the breakfast.. I'm good with anything." That said he went to the bathroom. Inside he wasn't really so calm but hot shower helped him with that. At least for now. |
Gary sat there for a while as he watched John go into the bathroom, before breaking out into a relieved smile. It didn't completely fix the situation, but at least John wasn't upset or disgusted. However, it did nothing to calm the little whirlpool in Gary's stomach.
He needed a distraction. Breakfast! He got up and made some coffee for John and some tea for himself. Then he set about making some good old toast with butter and some homemade strawberry jam he'd once bought at a fair. |
When John walked out of the shower he was a bit more calm. He still didn't understand why he reacted to Gary's kiss by giving it back but it no more stressed him so much. He had all eternity to understand it. After all Gary was straight and it somehow simplified things. His hair still wet, towel on the head he entered the kitchen.
"Mmmmm... something smells good", he said, sitting at the bar. "What you have for me kind sir?" |
Gary smiled over his shoulder at John.
"Hello there, nice turban. There's some hot strong coffee on the bar, ask me if you want more sugar. Didn't add mayo, he he. There's some hot toast here with butter and some homemade strawberry jam I bought from a charity fair." He carried the toast, butter and jam to the bar along with plates and blunt knives. "If you still feel hungry after this, there's chilled milk and porridge. Remember that multi product company who wanted our security services because they thought rivals were going to steal their trade secrets? It's porridge from that company's manufacturers." |
John listen to all Gary had to say.
"Nice~ It would be nice to have breakfast like that everyday", he said with a smirk. "Coffee on the table and all else.. Nice indeed. Thank you. And to have jam from there.. It's make this breakfast even better.. Good job!" |
Gary laughed as he sat down.
"Who knows, maybe the future will see us using more of our clients products. And it's nice to buy things from charity fairs. Next time there's one I can take you....if you want to, that is." He hungrily started eating. |
"Sure. That would be nice. Maybe could take something for my cats. I'm happy I gave them enough food to survive to the time when I'm back", he chuckled and then smiled at Gary. "I like your breakfast."
It felt really good to sit with Gary, eating breakfast. It made him feel happy somehow and John didn't analyse it. |
Gary smiled triumphantly. "Ah yes, I like being good to the gastric juices."
After they'd finished eating, he took the cups and plates and started washing them. "You can go on ahead to office. Or you can wait awhile till I get ready and leave with me." |
