Naruto reached down and held onto his stomach, his head was hurting. He couldn't keep this up much longer. "Why does this have to happen this way? Why did I have to be the mistake?" he asked as he stood there in the field. Better yet..."How do I fix it?" he asked himself. He needed to know so many things, yet held the answer to none of them. He closed his eyes and shook his head, trying to think. How could he fix what he had no idea the problem? Where was it that the mistake lied, and were should he be focusing in order to fix it? This wasn't something he could honestly find here could it? At least not with someone here to help him? Right?? He'd get out...some how?

As naruto kept pondering he heard a yell "Graaaahhhhh!!!!!" it was his younger self transforming into the nine-tails. "Wait this is when i was training with pervy sage! and pervy sage almost died because of me!" Jiraiya stood still and watched, horrified as he witnesses naruto's transformation. " Pervy sage! you have to seal the nine-tails' chakra hurry!" "Fool! he can not here you. This jutsu is like dream! you can't talk to the others that appear!" "then what am I suppose to do!?" " Think, this is your memory, your dream! you can do anything in your mind!" That's when the idea hit him. " Oh! I've got it!" Naruto focused for a moment then he entered the mind of himself; there he saw his younger self sitting by the nine-tails' cage. "(sobs) I'm...so weak..I couldn't stop sasuke." Naruto walks over to himself "Hey, don't give up, you will get stronger!" "Yes he will, get stronger. Using my power." Naruto looks up and sees the glaring red eyes of the Kyuubi. "Using my power you can get anything your heart desires. I can help you save sasuke uchiha." "You stay out of this you damn fox!" "You..can help me bring sasuke back?""Yes, I'll grant you the power to save him Naruto." "Shut up! don't listen to him! he's lying to you!" "but he said he could bring sasuke back, then sakura and the others would be happy again we would be team 7 again." Naruto hesitated at that comment.

Looking at his younger self, listening to the nine tails. "He's lying...He uses you...tricks you..all he wants is to be free. He doesn't really care if you are happy.." he finally said. "Team seven will never go back to how it use to be. Sasuke left us....Even if we forced him back, it still wouldn't be the same. He'd be angry and locked up for doing things he shouldn't have." he said in a small tone, "We can only hope that he some how see's what he's done and comes back of his own will...Thats the only way we can ever hope to have the team back." He gave a light smile as he reached out for his youngerself. "Now come on...we don't need him, we have each other."

His younger self gave a light nod and smiled "I don't need you to bring sasuke back you dumb fox :P" "What? you would decline my offer? even when i promise to bring back that uchiha brat!" roared the Kyuubi "Fine then! i'll break free right now and kill you all later!" "that ain't happening as long as you're inside of me!" every where turned blank white and naruto ended up in one more flash back "give him back!" naruto heard his voice again and looked over his shoulder and saw the tenchi bridge. "give him back? your way off, Sasuke came to us of his own free will. The boy you knew is gone." "Let it go already, it's unbecoming of a man." "shut up! four eyes! you don't understand how others feel! all you know is cold logic!" shouted sakura "If you want to know where sasuke is, you'll have to force it out of me. heheh, if you can that is." replied orochimaru. Naruto rushed at orochimaru at top speed and clawed his face sending him flying. "This is-! that mission!"
orochimaru came trotting back slowly "you've become quite the jinchuriki, haven't you boy?" (I'm going to skip through the others conversation here) " Now let's see who's stronger my sasuke or Naruto" "you don't own him! don't talk about sasuke like you own him!" "especially in front of me!" naruto's chakra exploded! sending high frequencies of wind every where. "whoa! was my chakra really that strong!" kabuto charges toward naruto but naruto counters by blasting some chakra from his mouth, causing the bridge to crumble. "It was just like captain yamato said!" naruto said as he ran towards the direction his other self went. "This chakra, is my own! this must be the last part of the illusion!" "huh? what are talking about!?" "Before the first hokage broke free of madara's genjutsu I felt two of the same chakra's both were his." naruto was shocked to hear this. "what does it mean?" "Most likely it means that, in order to escape this jutsu you have to defeat yourself." "That'll be easy i know myself better than any one!" "Make it quick! i can feel the chakra getting stronger! soon he'll transform!" "then there's no time to lose!"
Else where Kurenai and kakashi sit by a tree as kurenai is concentrating on holding her genjutsu on naruto. "I hope you're ready to pay up on are bet Kakashi, because it'll be over soon, his chakra will run out and he'll collapse." "Don't get your hopes up, naruto may not be a genius but he's got strong wits, he won't lose that easily." "hmph, we'll see about that." Naruto finally caught up to himself just as he was beginning to lose it.

Naruto moved fast and punched his other self in the face before he transformed to 4 tails. "That's enough!" he shouted with anger," It's time for us to think on our own! that damn fox isn't going to help us get anything!" his other self stood and looked at him for a moment. "Is that the best you can do?" questioned orochimaru;" You're not even in the same league as Sasuke." "grrrrrr.." Naruto grabs himself "I won't let you transform!" naruto creates a few shadow clones to surround the other naruto. " I will stop you! and end this stupid genjutsu!"

Naruto focused all his energy on this naruto. "We can only help ourselves, this fox isn't going to do anything but hurt the people we care about! It isn't the fox who can bring Sasuke back! we need to do that our selves, not with his help, or anyone else! We can do it our selves. We need to prove to everyone that We're not just some dumb brat!" he said in a strained tone, "Lets not give them any more reason to doubt what we can do!"

the other naruto shakes the real one off. "I'm going to beat some sense into!" naruto attacked relentlessly no matter how many times his other self kept sending him flying back then he successfully wounded this other naruto giving him the chance to form a rasengan.

Finally naruto used his best trick against this other naruto, sending him back into a tree. "I'm not going to let you harm my friends" he said, "even if you are my own self!" he'd never allow it to happen. Not for anyone or for any reason. "I'm going to do this my own, not with no stupid fox's help or any other help that could risk harming anyone I love!"

the genjutsu dispersed and naruto was free. he collapses to the ground. "heh, you see kakashi? He collapsed which can only mean he's out of chakra, you lose this bet." as she said this naruto attacks from mid-air "Rasengan!" "!? (wha!? that's impossible!)" the rasengan hit the ground as kurenai and kakashi dodge it. then three clones attack kurenai who is low on chakra. "(damn, i never thought this kid could break through such a genjutsu)"
kurenai defeated the clones but the real one was quickly behind her and lands a critical blow.
"guh!" kurenai falls to the ground in defeat. "This time i'm sure this is reality!" shouted naruto. "well done naruto you've successfully beat genjutsu." said kakashi who was standing on a tree branch. "I admit, i thought you were finished, i guess i thought wrong." replied kurenai. "Ha! that means i've got one more step to go!" "Before that you need rest, how about we go out for some ramen? my treat." "oh, wow! seriously sensei!?"
"You can join us if you'd like kurenai." "no, that's alright. I'm out of chakra now, so i'm going to head home now." "alright! this is awesome! ramen from kakashi sensei!"
kurenai says good bye and heads home and kakashi and naruto head over to ichiraku for ramen.

Naruto was pleased, "hehe, I'm gonna eat a lot of ramen!" he said pleased with himself as he fallowed Kakashi to the ramen shop. "Hey sensie. Did you really think I did okay? I mean i was trapped in it for some time before realizing what was going on. It was so confusing...Everything kept changing and it was hard to tell what was real from what wasn't real" he said frowning. "I really don't like that trick at all... When they finally got to the shop, Naruto took his seat and ordered the biggest bowl of ramen he could. "Sensie....I have something important to ask you" he said after he pulled his chopsticks apart.
