Zydes had to hold back a chuckle at Aque's pout. It was adorable and he found himself enjoying it very much.
"Now, I have said what I have needed to say... Please tell me what is on your mind and any questions that you may have. I will do my best to answer them."

"I don't want to tell what's on my mind. Why should I? I have a role to play and to make sure I'll play it good. Isn't it the only thing I'm needed for? So who cares what I am feeling", muttered Aque, shrugging.
Or what it destroyed for me, he added in his thoughts.

Zydes scooted a little closer before leaning back on the pillows and closing his eyes.
"I care. A lot, actually. When I was younger, I avoided anyone who wanted to be my friend because I knew that one of them just might want to date me. I didn't want to crush their heart or mine by getting involved and then having to marry you. I hated my parents for signing us up for this. I felt so bad for the person I was going to marry because they had absolutely no choice. I could walk away from the marriage and be perfectly fine, but if the other person walked away, their family would be destitute. I used to cry at night when I would think about going into a loveless marriage because it wasn't fair... But I had to stop when I realized that neither of us would want this. It's just how it is. Back then, I vowed I would do everything right to make sure things worked..."

Aque tensed up when other male got closer.. but then got too interested with what he heard. Tilting his head a bit he rubbed his neck. At least he had one or two friends.. and few girlfriends... He couldn't imagine how it would be to know all along that.. Lowering his ears he looked on the sheets, remembering how he behaved ealier. Like he would be the only part hurt by that decision.
"I'm sorry to hear that..", he muttered. "It must be lonely.."

Zydes chuckled.
"Yeah, I guess. I usually distract my self with healing, though. I work ta the hospital. My element is Earth so I know a lot of healing herbs and such. Not many Earth elementals work at the hospital. Most of them are Water and Air. They're much more calm then Earth and Fire." he said with a small smiled.
"I always dreamed my fiancé would be lovely and come to love me and I them. The first part is already taken care of."

Aque was about to say something but then heard the last part said and blushed up to his ears. He was.. lovely? Sure he knew he was quite good looking thanks to his partners and all... but lovely? That was the first time he heard about it. Though it was the first time he was supposed to be with a man.
"W-well.. that a good wish..", he muttered under his breath and then cleared his throat. "And about Air being calm... I wouldn't say about myself that.. And from what I know Air can be pretty emotional.."

Zydes chuckled again and opened his eyes.
"Compared to Fire, you are as calm as a small pond. The emotion helps to connect with the patients. You should come with me some time, visit the young kids who's parents are getting treated."

"I don't know any fire dragon so far... Are they really so... impetous?", he asked curiously, looking at Zydes questioningly.
Now that Aque calmed down his tail came to life, it's furry tip swishing while his ears twitched. Now his green eyes had those nice sparkles of excitement in them and it made him look way better than before. Yet the feathers in his hair have it all quite funny edge.

Zydes shrugged.
"They can be -pardon the pun- hot-headed at time. They're very honest, though. They don't care to sugar-coat anything." he said before standing and getting a hand mirror, bringing it to the dragon.
"Here. See with your own eyes just how lovely you are."

Too surprised to do anything else he took the mirror from other male and looked at his reflection in it. He blinked in surprise when he saw all those feathers and his dirtied face.
"Great", he muttered, reaching to his hair and trying to get it a bit more tidy.
Normally it wouldn't be a problem since he was able to change with his magic the lenght of his hair or claws at will.. as well as make his horns disappear if they irritated him. Though.. now he couldn't. He hissed when his claws scratched the skin of his hand and started to suck on the blood, obviously irritated.
