Daemon looked at the two coffins and gently placed his hand on one, he wasn't sure which one was his mother or father. He felt himself choke up and tried not to cry. He hated when he did that. "Vladimir's parents... I don't even know what to call you two. I apologize. You've sacrificed so much for you son, including your lives. It's weird just talking into the stone.. I just want to say that.. I will try my best to keep Vladimir happy and well.. alive. I'm not brave, i know that, but I'll try."
Vladimir walked over slowly and smiled as he put a hand on Daemon's back. "Thank you for talking to them...I think they feel more at peace."
Daemon looked at Vladimir and nodded. "Ah, I really hope so. I would like them to feel better about leaving you here. I mean, any parents would hate to leave their child behind." He kissed Vladimir's cheek. "Thank you for letting me meet them."
"Of course." he replied softly. Vladimir walked over to the coffin on the left. "Mother" he said softly as he put a hand on the coffin, then he moved over to the one on the right. "Father. Both of you. I hope you continue to rest peacefully with the rest of our bloodline. I love you both..." He removed his hand from his father's coffin and returned to Daemon's side. He no longer had tears in him to shed, but he still felt emotional speaking to his parents. He still remembered the funeral...members of the elite council came to give his parents the ceremony sending them off to the beyond with their ancestors, all of them wearing masks and black robes and they spoke the chant from the Book of Elders. The Vampire Emperor himself attended. Only one of the council members, a woman judging by the body figure, allowed Vladimir to hold her hand through the ceremony. None of his extended family came, minus his grandparents who were in their own state of grief...it was raining that day, but it wasn't hard to tell Vladimir was crying. He shook and it was hard to keep himself quiet.

Daemon had tears in his eyes. If Vladimir couldn't cry then he would. It was an odd thing for Daemon to think to himself, but he didn't care. The man was probably still grieving. He had nobody until the day he had found Daemon lying in his own blood, saving him. He let out a choked sob before he grabbed Vladimir's torso in a hug, burying his face in the man's chest. He didn't like that he was emotional, but his own parents never were. He didn't know what else to do. Nobody ever showed him otherwise. He sniffled a bit and let out a few hiccups before he settled down enough to talk. "V-Vladimir. I'll stay by you. I'll stay by you for as long as you allow me to. I'll be your songbird. I will play for you and soothe your nerves. I'll try by b-best to make you happy and to help your parents have peace in the afterlife."
Vladimir looked down at him and held him gently. Daemon cried for him. No one else would do that for him, and it meant so much to him that Daemon would cry for him when he no longer could after spending years grieving. He ran a hand into Daemon's hair. "Thank you, Daemon...thank you so much." he said softly and he lifted Daemon's head so that they could meet eyes and he leaned in to gently kiss Daemon's lips.
Daemon shed a couple tears as Vladimir talked to him. He didn't know if he would ever stop crying for this man. He was a vampire and probably had no tears left to shed. He held onto Vladimir tightly and kissed his vampire back just as sweetly. He didn't care anymore. He would grieve for Vladimir whenever the man couldn't. Daemon's neon greens were screwed shut, but rebellious tears continued to escape.
Vladimir pulled away slowly and held Daemon close to him, tangling a hand into Daemon's hair and he rubbed Daemon's back slowly. "My sweet songbird...you have no idea how happy I am that you would cry for me when I can't do it myself. I love you...so dearly...and you've proven your love to me by crying for me."
Daemon chuckled sadly and gave Vladimir a watery smile. "I don't mean to cry so much, but I feel like I would have loved your parents. They're dead and you've probably grieved. I feel as if I need to..." He rested his cheek on Vladimir's chest. "I love you as well Vladimir. My knight. My savior."
Vladimir gently rocked Daemon back and forth in his arms as he continued to hold Daemon against him. "I love you, my sweet song bird." he said softly. This young man he had only known for a few days would cry for him when he himself could not. Even though his heart was still pained with the memory, he could no longer cry. All of his tears had been spilled as he spent the rest of his late childhood alone, in the care of his grandparents who left when he was old enough to take care of himself. It was the only way he could finish his studies.
