Only when Josh spoke up Akira noticed he was standing behind Sangre ad hiding. He blushed in shame for acting like that and nodded his head. Being away from angry Christine seemed like a good idea.
"I-i-if that wouldn't be a problem..", he said really quietly. |
Nodding his head, Josh wrapped his arms around Akira, gently picking him up in his arms and smiling at Sangre. "Could you do me a huge favour and bring Akira's food and a drink?" Josh asked the cook.
Without hesitation, Sangre nodded his head, sighing in relief as he clearly didn't want to be around Christine at the moment. "Of course Master." He bowed his head and grabbed a tray, placing the food and drink atop of it, as well as Josh's extra strawberries. Sipping her drink, Christine glanced at the others and had a glare in her eye, clearly not in the best mood, showing that side of her that most hated, especially Josh. Such simple things threw her off, and whenever that happened her nephew liked to stay away until she felt a bit better, and less bitchy. |
When he was picked up he tried to not to look at anyone. His heart was beating loudly. How shameful.. How he could react like that? Christine would think he is strange and not suitable for Josh. But was he really good for him? Akira felt his throat clenching. After all he was scared of people.. didn't have There was so many people better than him.

Holding Akira close to his body, Josh looked at his aunt for another second before heading to the doors, Sangre following close behind. The moment they were out of the dining area and kitchen, the redhead scoffed, rolling his eyes as he spoke low enough for only Josh and Akira to hear.
"How does she go from being so nice, to being so snobby?" Sangre shook his head, looking down at Akira as he held the tray. "You okay Akira?" he wondered. Josh glanced down at his boyfriend, almost to see how he was doing. Of course he can't blame the poor young man if he was frightened, but he had hoped Akira would be okay. |
Akira flinched as his name was called out. Not sure what to answer he stayed quiet for few longer moments. It was so hard to figure out an answer right now..
"I'm fine..", he said softly, not wanting to worry anybody with himself or making upset by saying about his thoughts. |
Josh looked back down at Akira, hearing his response but knowing all too well it was bothering him. "You'll be protected by me Akira." Josh kissed his head, and looking back over towards Sangre when they got to his bedroom door.
As the chef opened it, Josh walked in, heading to the bed and carefully putting him down, smiling lightly and running his fingers through Akira's hair. "There we go." He whispered. Sangre walked to both men, placing the food down and smiling lightly. "I hope to see the room once it's done as well, maybe around dinner?" He asked, almost as if he needed permission. Josh nodded instantly and smirked. "Of course." Sitting beside Akira, the older male looked at his boyfriend, taking his hand and looking into his eyes, trying to get his mind off of things. "I didn't tell you yet, but your new bedroom door is locked. The key for it is right there." Josh pointed to the wall, which had a hook, and hanging down was a green ribbon with a golden key attached to it. "There is two, one for me and one for you. Make sure the room is always locked okay? Lady can't go in no matter how cute she is. The plants in there, and your artwork have to be kept safe. Okay?" Josh smiled softly, knowing all too well that smart cat would end up knocking things over and using his artwork as scratching paper. |
Akira was way more bothered by his incapability than anything else but how could both men know that. His thoughts were really dark until his hand was taken and he saw those maroon eyes looking into his. The room was locked? His eyes widened. So.. the only people that would be able to go in there was him and Josh? No one ever.. Akira smiled softly and nodded his head. And then he realised something.
"There will be plants?", he asked curiously. |
The look on Akira's face changed, and that instantly made Josh feel a little better. With a soft chuckle, he nodded his head and rubbed his palm as he spoke. "There is an area with a huge window, it's directed towards the sun, and also a small sunroof on the ceiling. Below that is a few flowerpots, some have flowers in it already, but there is two that have yet to be planted in." Josh looked into Akira's eyes and whispered. "I told them to leave that to us. So me and you can plant our own flowers there."
Despite realizing it was kind of a surprise, Josh decided to just allow Akira to know about it, to make him feel a little better. "There's something else about that part of the room that's special, but you'll have to wait a few more minutes to see." Josh smiled. |
Akira was all ears when Josh started to tell him, at last, what was in the room. His eyes looked dreamily at the other male as he was speaking. Then his heart skipped a beat. Something else? More than he already heard?
"It sounds like a magic place..", he whispered, his cheeks having a bit of a colour due to his excitement. |
Josh's smile grew, clearly excited to show the room to Akira. "I think it'll be perfect for you Akira. You deserve it."
It still had a bathroom, which was next to the corner with all the art supplies, and it had been redone with colours as well. Although everything else changed rather drastically, and almost over a week of work showed it clearly. Sangre walked towards the door but didn't yet leave, instead he put a treat secretly in Lady's bowl, and grabbed the trey, leaving behind the bowls. "I'll return later on to pick up the dishes. I hope you enjoy your room Akira." Sangre smiled, knowing he'd see it soon, and by the sound of it it was amazing. As the chef left, Josh thanked him and waved, although his attention was right back at Akira moments later. |
