Looking around the room once again his eyes rested on the comfortable recliner, being actually a part of a large couch, just next very big bookshelf in the corner of the room. That place would be much better, especially for Josh that still was standing.
"Maybe we can sit there?", he asked, looking at his boyfriend with a happiness radiating from his green eyes.

Focusing his attention on the recliner, Josh nodded his head in agreement. "That would be perfect." He stated while walking to Akira, kissing his forehead and picking him up into his arms. As he got over to the recliner he sat down and sighed from how comfortable it was, placing Akira beside him so the soft cushion was beneath his body, although his arm was wrapped around him the entire time.
"Alright, let me think..." Josh mumbled as he went over the story in his head, making sure not to go too far forward or too far back, not wanting to spoil anything.

"So, we left off with the young boy stopping the others from killing the dragon. Then he flew off..." Josh looked at Akira, quirking an eyebrow and having a small smile on his face. "Have I told you about the boy looking for the dragon yet?" Josh asked, knowing all too well what the answer would be, but he was just glad to see Akira looking so happy.

Akira really apreaciated how soft was the couch and still having Josh so close was additional bonus. Or a main.. Then he shook his head when asked that question.
"No.. The boy was leaving.. but the you stopped reading the book", he said, excited like a small child would as he thought about continuing. "So.. we will read what happened next right? But do you have that book here?"

RedRose4 November 4th, 15 06:56 PM

"Ah, yes." Josh had it click into his mind, looking at the door nearby and taking a deep breath. "It's in my room, probably in the nightstand where I left it. I'll return shortly."
Josh stood up, looking at Akira to make sure he was alright before heading to his bedroom and rummaging through his drawer to find the book. It didn't take very long for him to take it out and hurriedly find the page they had left off at.

Returning to the new room, Josh walked inside and closed the door behind himself, seating himself beside Akira and wrapping an arm around him once more, placing the book in front of them both and holding it open with one hand. "Ready?" Josh asked while glancing at Akira, making sure he was comfortable and ready for him to read.

Akira just simply nodded and waited for Josh to return, drawing something in the air with a tip of his finger. It was Josh's face actually but that could be his small secret. Seeing Josh was back made him smile softly. When being asked if ready he felt his excitement raising as he nodded his head. It really was special for him. Special time only for him and mast.. Josh, his boyfriend.

The moment Josh saw Akira nod his head, the older male got himself comfortable and took a deep breath, his arm comfortably around his boyfriend as his eyes paid close attention to the book in his hand.
"So, after the dragon had left, and the young boy wondered what had happened to the large beast, he decided to sneak up towards the mountains in an attempt to find it. Grabbing what he thought he would need, he waited for nightfall to approach before leaving his village with a lantern in hand and his pack resting along his back."

Josh flipped the page, his fingers running along Akira's arm as he continued. "The air was cold and the mask of night made it difficult for the boy to see, even with his flickering lantern in his hand it was difficult to make out more than a foot in front of him. With heavy steps the young man went forward, stopping after an hour of walking when he notices a trail of blood leading up the mountain. Worrying that it may be from the dragon, the boy moved faster until he came across a few chipped scales, the colour reflecting and shimmering the flame of his lantern. It was the same colour as the large animal he had seen before." Josh paused for a second and licked his lips as he read on, his voice soft the entire time.
"It took a few more gruelling hours until he managed to reach a large cave, the night was growing colder and the clothes he wore weren't protecting him from air around him. So he decided to go into the cave and rest for a moment, but what he didn't know is that something lived within that cave."

Josh glanced at Akira, smiling lightly as he began to turn the page once more, seeing the interest within his counterparts eyes and finding himself so enthralled at his fascination.

Akira rested his head on Josh's arm while listening to the story. When a blood and scales were mentioned he actually tensed up a bit, feeling his heart starting to beat faster. Rubbing his arm as if he would be the one being cold and not the boy in the book. When Josh stopped to turn the page he couldn't wait to hear more.

"Getting himself comfortable, the boy settled into a corner of the cave where a few rocks clustered, protecting him from the wind outside. Thankfully the fire hadn't died out, and he took his backpack off to grab something to eat. As he began to eat the orange he had tucked away in his bag, he stopped when a sound resonated deeper within the dark cave. Looking over one of the rocks he was sitting behind, the boy froze when two sets of eyes seemed to glow from the darkness, the sound of breathing growing louder and louder until he could almost see the mist of breath coming from the beasts nostrils."

Josh held Akira a little closer, glancing at the clock before focusing back on the book. "As it got closer the boy stepped back, quickly putting his backpack on but before he was able to reach out and grab his lantern the creature jumped forward and growled. He had no choice but to leave the light and run out of the cave, going into the darkness and seeing nothing but black in front of him. As quickly as he could he ran for his life, not stopping until he tripped over something and landed on the hard ground, hurting his leg in the process. It was then he realized he couldn't see a single thing, other than one speck of light at the top of the mountain, so he limped up to the top for hours and hours until the sun began to rise."

With a soft breath, Josh smiled and saw they had a short amount of time, reading a bit more so Akira didn't have to wait until tonight, or another day to know what happened next.
"Once he got to the top of the mountain, the boy nearly collapsed with fatigue, but warmth surrounded him, and he realized that the light he had seen earlier was a fire resting amidst a few branches. The trail of blood still lingered, making it's way towards a small clearing nearby where a large, beautiful dragon was laying with a limp front leg. It's head was down and eyes shaded by it's wing to cover itself from the rising sun. Although as the boy gasped in surprise he saw the dragon's wing move and it's eyes open, looking directly at him. It was the same dragon had had seen earlier." Josh smiled, looking back at Akira as he hummed.

"Hopefully they're both okay." Josh said softly amongst himself.

Akira was reacting to the story, tensing up when it showed there was someone inside the cave. First he thought it was the dragon the boy was looking for but it didn't seem that way. The last part of what was being read made him smile a bit. So the dragon was there not in the cave? Looking at Josh Akira nodded his head. He was so used to not talking that it took him few moments to realise he should say something.
"I hope so too. I really like that dragon.. and... m-my boyfriend's voice too", he last thing he added with a soft blush.

RedRose4 November 4th, 15 08:54 PM

Josh put the open book on his lap for a moment in order to look at Akira, his voice and choice of words making the older man falter for a few seconds before smiling and cocking an eyebrow.
"You like the sound of my voice huh?" Josh whispered, brushing his hand along Akira's jaw and cheek, feeling the warmth of the skin there, being so different from the rest of his boyfriends body; which was usually cooler than his own. "I love the sound of yours too." Josh said soon afterwards, remembering the moment he had heard that beautiful sound coming from Akira, and it still astounded him. Even now it was surreal Josh was capable of listening to him speak when before he was incapable of doing so.
