Akira flinched when master growled. Did he do something wrong? Ah.. on the chair.. He stood up as fast as he could and went to sit on the chair. As soon as he did that he looked at master, checking out if he was still angry. When other man said his sorry he surprised him once again. He was about to start eating when he heard Josh saying for him to stay close when in ballroom. Does that mean he would be there with him? And he wouldn't let anyone to bother him? Akira sighed quietly in relief. Now a bit less stressed he started to eat really quickly, as if someone was about to take his food from him. That way he finished while Josh managed to eat only half of his portion. Akira just sat there, not moving much and waiting for him to finish, looking a bit around but very guardedly.
|
Eating his food at a rather casual pace, Josh saw just how fast Akira ate, wondering just how badly he was treated before. He was curious, although how would he ask if the man couldn’t speak? Plus bringing back the memory wouldn’t help him, probably do the opposite.
As he was finishing off his plate, Josh wiped his hands with a paper towel and put his hand up, bringing the chef back to clear the table before returning back towards the kitchen. “Glad you’re appetite is so strong. You’ll regain your strength in a few days fully.” Standing up, Josh brought his eyes over the mans body, seeing his frame and how slim he was. A closer look might give him a better idea of how much more energy he would need. “The ballroom is two minutes away from here. If you can’t walk without a break just…meet me there. I’m late already.” He said while eyeing the nearby clock and going to the doors to walk out, his eyes always on Akira as he did. |
Akira stood up too and just simply nodded when he was told to meet in the ballroom. He tried to follow but soon he needed to stop to rest a bit. When he looked up master was gone. Did he turn somewhere? When he felt strong enough he went to where he was seeing him the last time and looked around. Then he saw the stairs leading down. Shouldn't the ballroom be downstairs to not let guests in the private area? Slowly and really careful to not to fell he went downstairs. It wasn't hard to find. The ballroom was on his left and was really, really big. Leaning on the door frame he saw master, talking with someone. And there was so many people.. Standing there, a bit scared he didn't know what to do next. He would gladly go back to his room but it would anger master and that was the last thing he wanted to do now.

Getting to the ballroom, Josh had his attention focused on the others, speaking to a few of the people that were helping. He had no intention of putting up decorations himself, he was the one saying what should go where, and how it would be placed.
“Where should this go?” The mover asked. Josh looked around, pointing to one of the high corners of the room and nodding. “There. Make sure it’s symmetrical to the others.” When the discussion was ending, Josh looked around for anyone else in need of assistance, wanting to make sure no one did something without asking first. As he looked around, he noticed Akira, he didn’t seem comfortable at all. Walking over, Josh got close to him, speaking under his breath, in a mere whisper. “You can do the easier things. The staircase needs to be done.” Josh said while taking slow steps towards it, not leaving Akira due to the knowledge of him being easily frightened. “You won’t have to walk, just sit next to the railing and thread the streamer through the posts. Understand?” Josh asked. |
He was glad when he saw master ending his conversation.. or rather giving orders, maybe.. and sighed in relief when he said he would be threading the streamer through the posts. It would take him far away from other people posts so it made him less nervous. He nodded wondering where those streamers were while following master. When he saw it he sat on the stairs, doing what other man wanted him to. He wasn't too fast but was very precise with doing it. After some time he was ready with it and went to look for Josh once again, knowing there probably was something else he wanted him to do. This time he was nearby and alone so Akira approached him and looked at his questioningly with his green eyes.

While Akira was working on the stairs, Josh was talking amongst the others. Once in a while someone would come over, ask for a little advice and he’d answer. He went with a rather authentic theme, something that was placed during the years of the renaissance. The fine detail and the basic colouring made it rather simple yet sophisticated.
Finally having a moment to just admire what was done so far, Josh saw Akira come over, his attention going right to him. “Done? Hm…” He looked at the staircase, noticing he did a rather good job, making him smile slightly. “Good work. Now…” Looking around once more, Josh then noticed the most obvious thing that needed to be done. “You wouldn’t mind paneling the door? The wood next to it are supposed to be nailed along the frame, to make it look more….detailed.” Josh put his hand out, taking Akira’s hand and inspecting it without even asking. “Hm, you think you can use a hammer with these hands?” Josh wondered while looking up into those innocent looking eyes. |
As he saw other man smiling and then being prised, he felt a bit happy that he had done good. He flinched when Josh took his hand all of a sudden. When he heard the question he looked at the doors. He never used a hammer before. Thinking a bit he then started to write with his slim finger on masters hand. 'I never done that before, Master. Is it hard?' He didn't want to say no but worse would be making master angry if he would fail.
|
Seeing that Akira was writing on his hand, Josh looked down, seeing what he put before reading it out in his mind and saying a soft ‘ah’ before shaking his head. “Not really….I’ll show you.”
Walking towards the door that wasn’t too far away, he picked up the hammer, which was probably just a very few kilograms, and looked back at Akira. “Here, hold this, see if it feels too heavy or not.” Josh stated while taking a beam and putting it up against the frame of the door. Despite the fact that he wasn’t supposed to be doing the work itself, he also didn’t want Akira to do something and injure himself, that would render him pointless. |
Following master he took the hammer into his hand and looked at it curiously. Then he tried to try it out and it slipped from his hand and fell on the ground, under somebodys feet and made that person trip... The plates crushed on the floor, making Akira jump and cringe. He paled like a ghost seeing what he had done. Now master surely would kick him out back on the street. Why did he took it to the hand?
|
Just as he handed over the hammer, Josh wished he hadn’t. It was like a domino effect, once one thing happened, another would follow. When it was finally silent for a second, Josh felt his blood boil, gripping onto Akira’s wrist tightly and speaking up for everyone to hear.
“Someone clean this up, and put up the paneling. I have to take care of something.” Josh opened the door, pulling Akira along with him even if he stumbled, he still pulled. “You’re going back to your room.” Josh spoke, his voice higher than usual, desperately trying not to yell. “Since I’ve brought you here, it’s been…fuck.” Taking a deep breath, he rubbed his eyes and sighed. The random memory of his dream returned to him, and for some strange reason that made him feel a bit guilty for getting so angry. When he got to Akira’s room, he let go of the man, looking at him sternly but not being as angry as earlier. “I’ll keep you doing easy jobs. Tomorrow if you’re still weak you aren’t coming to the ballroom.” Josh said while pacing back and forth. “If you do god knows what will happen.” |
