Envy shuddered at the cold sensation pulling gently against his body. Someone was calling the Gate..someone close..

He jerked in realization and raced back up to the bathroom, spotting Edward with the blade in the bathroom. In a heartbeat he was tackling the boy, shoving away the blade and grasping the alchemist at the shoulders shaking him like a rag doll.

"Idiot! STUPID Bastard! What the hell are you doing?! Don't you DARE call the Gate here!!" There was a slight tinge of absolute terror in his voice but he tried to hide it as much as he could.

Envy glared at Edward and then let his expression crumble, cuddling the boy to him and burying his nose into soft golden hair.

"Edo..you fool..I don't want you to go away again.." The last words were barely more than a whisper, Envy's lips lightly brushing against Edward's forehead.

Ed's heart leapt in his chest he had no idea that Envy would care what he was about to do..or even sense what he was doing, he saw terror in his violet eyes, a knowing that was deeper than the alchemist could imagine...ad he was shaking him commanding him not to do this thing, then him being grabbed in a forcefull hug that seemed to wrap around him like a warm blanket.

Then he heard the words. Envy cared...he diddnt want him to leave. with Envy so close to him, comforting him telling him he diddent want him to leave Eds chest heaved and he felt hot heavy tears sting his eyes.

"Envy." he have a muffled cry. "I'm sorry....I..I ..." but he couldnt finish as his shoulders shook with sobs.

Envy wasn't at all used to comforting others, he was hardly good at comforting himself. However he knew that when he was hurting he felt a need to be cradled and held though he wouldn't admit to it. So as Edward cried he held the boy tighter, rocking gently and kissing the top of his golden head.

Vaguely he wondered how the hell he had come to be this way, how had it all ended up this way..and what was going to happen now? Where would they go from here? What would Father think? He couldn't hide forever.
