"A little...maybe that's why I cling to people the way I did." Cain replied.

"I am...but my past relationships were all about making the other person happy. I think that's from never being able to meet my parents' expectations. I didn't even want to go to college." Cain replied.

"Well...around that time was when I got my first bicycle. I was 18 and a buddy of mine got it for me and promised to keep it a secret from my mom and dad, but mom found out about it anyway when one of her salon-going friends saw me riding down the street with it. My dad gave me a big lecture on how he wasn't going to raise a "Hell's Angels wannabe" and he said he wanted me to run his business when he was long gone. I applied for a university that I thought was to my dad's standards and went into business management to make them both happy." Cain replied softly as he drew random shapes on Jason's chest.

Cain shook his head slowly. "First, they got upset because I started dating a guy that was in my accounting class. Then, they got even more upset with me after I told them that, after college, I was going to try and open up my own tattoo business and I showed them some of the drawings that I made just to give them an idea."

"...my mom got up and left the room without saying anything. Basically, she left it to my old man to tell me what they thought. Dad took off his glasses and looked at me with a blank stare...then, he said that I was going to waste my life away making tattoos when I could be something productive for the economy like doing what he does, financing and making products that people actually use. So, to kind of give them a middle finger, I got my first tattoo that I drew myself." Cain said. He lifted himself up to where he was sitting on his knees above Jason and he took off his shirt and he pointed to the tribal tattoo on his shoulder that went from the area between his neck and shoulder bone to his bicep.
