(Did you have fun at your bother's b day party? ^^)
"I used to too...until they started giving me trouble." Vladimir replied as he releases Daemon's face. He walked over to open the front doors and stepped out slowly with his hood pulled up over his head. |
{I did. :3 I made his favorite meal and he was very grateful. I'm just glad I got to see him}
Daemon followed Vladimir out. "What kind of trouble did they give you? I mean... I don't think you were stupid enough to fall down a mountainside and onto their food..." |
"The wolves about the forests are descendants of an ancient line of werewolves that died off one by one after a war waged out between vampire and werewolves. My race was victorious, but the alliances soon either disbanded or were void after the war. The werewolves remained close in their time of healing. One of the leaders that was struck happened to be the patriarch Colossius. Colossius fell not long after the battle and his pack blamed my family for his death, saying that my father bit him and this killed him with his venom...after my family died off, the wolves began to notice that I was the only one left. They just sit there waiting..." Vladimir paused as he turned his head towards the front gates of his property. "Waiting for the day I become an Elder and I'm vulnerable."
(Aw, well that's good ^^) |
Daemon nodded. "I see... I guess people are right when they say the two races don't really get along. I really hope you're not going to die very soon. I would hate to see that.. Wolves are really vicious when you're injured.." He rubbed at the wound on his left arm. It was still a reminder of what he had done. "I hope they die off before you become an Elder. Or at least you should have a child that could.. carry on your line. I mean, if they saw you were having children or something, then they wouldn't attack you, right?"
"They won't attack a child. I know this for a fact. It'd be too easy for them, plus they want the one closest to my father." Vladimir replied before looking at Daemon. "It's possible for me to have children, but it's...complicated."
Daemon tilted his head slightly. "What do you mean by complicated?"
"Well...first off, I need blood to produce enough body heat to keep them from being duds...and...me and women haven't really...connected." Vladimir replied as he looked away awkwardly.
Daemon nodded and sighed. "O-oh.. I forget you kind of need an erection for producing babies... What about men? You guys can't have babies like that huh? I mean, it's rather unnatural... but whatever..." He shrugged. "I guess we could find you a lady..." Daemon sounded rather uncomfortable saying that last line.
Vladimir stared at him for a moment and moved closer to him. "Well...um...there's a fertility spell that one of the books in my library has for such a case if...I cannot find a female then...a male could...um...carry my child..." he said softly, looking at the ground occasionally as he spoke. He never really thought about having children, but being the last branch in your family tree feels rather...lonely. Even so, he couldn't do it with a female even if his life depended on it.
Daemon blushed bright red when Vladimir mentioned that he could actually have a male carry his baby. "o-oh... T-that's rather convenient, though not to be mean, but I don't think I could have children soon.. I mean, you've probably been alive a lot longer but I'm not like... ah.. Oh goddess I'm only 22..." Daemon began to mess with his hair like he always did.
Vladimir replied and gently pet his hair. "Don't worry, my songbird...I have many more years in me before I become an Elder."
Daemon leaned into the touch and nodded. He didn't know if he would even have kids with Vladimir. They just met! "Alright. Well.. I hope you do have children, with whoever.. You need to have more vampires so they don't attack you."
Vladimir kissed his forehead gently and walked to the back of the property to the stable where Nightwing was. He got a bit too eager about that, didn't he? He was too close to asking Daemon to carry his offspring...and Daemon was definitely too young. He could at least wait until their relationship grew. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that his parents had him when his mother was young, four years younger than Daemon.
(This almost turned into Twilight XD) |
{lol xD I know right? Then again, Daemon probably would have said yes}
Daemon smiled and nodded. He really wouldn't mind carrying the man's child, but he was just really young and he didn't know if he would be able to stay himself. He knew this wouldn;t change his personality, but it was just odd to think about. He followed the man and messed with his hair. He was nervous. He wanted to know about the man, maybe they could have children, but it all depended on their relationship. |
(I had a feeling he would have lol)
Vladimir opened the iron gate and walked into the stable, running his hand along Nightwing's side as he passed by to get the bridle and eye coverings. |
{xD Oh goddess...}
Daemon stood outside the door, still messing with his hair. He didn't know if he could ask the man for information on his background. Maybe he would give it to him, or not. He bit his lip and continued to play with his inky hair. |
Vladimir looked back at Daemon feeling he was still anxious. "My songbird, is everything alright? I hope I didn't upset you. I was just...putting it out there as an option. I didn't mean to be so forward."
Daemon looked at the man and shook his head. "Oh no, it's not that. It's just that I mean... I wouldn't really mind if our relationship continued as it is. But I don't know much about you at all.. I only know you're a vampire and that you have been hunted. Your father played music for your mothers and you take care of his violin with the best care. Your horse is like family and you are like a piece of meat to the wolves that they can't have because you aren't old. That's all I know of the man named Vladimir. I know almost nothing about you.." His voice grew softer as he spoke and he began to twist his hair around his fingers.
Vladimir blinked and looked over as Nightwing turned his head to look at him as if to say "Really?"
"Well...why don't you ask me a few things you would like to know and I will answer?" Vladimir suggested with a slight smile as he carried the bridle over in front of the stallion to put it on him. |
Daemon walked into the stable, feeling awkward about standing outside. He nodded and stopped messing with his hair, trying to break his old habit. "Well.. I guess.. Uhm.. What did your parents do for a living?"
"Well, my father was a high skilled medical doctor and my mother was a teacher. My father became a business man after the war and he managed his own company in which he would produce his own tonics and other medical aids and sell them to the public via drug stores." Vladimir replied as he adjusted the head piece so the eye covers shielded Nightwing's eyes entirely, then walked over to get the reigns and hooked them on.
"I see. That's really cool. I thought they couldn't be in the sun though. Did they have issues with that? I mean.. I would think you all would."
"Well, back then it wasn't necessarily that big of a deal to teach from your home. My dad owned the company, but he didn't necessarily have to go to the building itself and found ways around having to make public appearances. People just assumed they liked to stay at home." Vladimir replied.
(Going to bed. Ttyt ^^) |
{Blank because reasons}
Daemon nodded and smiled just a bit. "That seems like something that people could accept. They were probably really successful. I mean, that seems like something to do. They won't have been found out and they won't have to leave the house. The sun won't hurt them." He beamed at Vladimir. "That's realy good. Is it safe to say they were successful people and good parents?"
Vladimir took a hold of the bridle and he led Nightwing out of his stall and over to the next one where the carriage was and he hooked Nightwing to it as he spoke. "My parents were very successful for many years. My mother was a gentle mother, very kind, and she never rose her voice. My father was wise and he was strict, but it seemed that was the way to be back then. They were both very loving to me and to each other."
Daemon followed Vladimir around as he got Nightwing to the carriage. He smiled fondly. "That much have been very nice. Your parents really loved you for as long as they were alive. What's it like to have them around a lot? I mean, not to sound like an idiot, but my parents were around very often, so i wouldn't know."
"Having my parents around...I never had a care in the world. I knew I was safe, I knew I was loved..." Vladimir trailed off and Nightwing nudged into Vladimir's chest. He gently stroked the side of the stallion's face. "Until our castle was attacked, I didn't think there was anyone out there with a heart cold enough to take a child's parents away. My father would never let me play outside or with the other children and I never understood why."
Daemon's smile faded and he felt like he actually hit a bad nerve with his question. He walked up to Vladimir and placed his hand on the man's arm. "Well, they were protecting you, which is good. I just... I feel bad that they attacked you like that. I mean, taking a child's parents." Daemon looked at the ground.
Vladimir looked at him and raised a hand to gently run his fingers through Daemon's hair. "You're right. I did not understand until that night. I understood even more when hunters began to scout my castle after my parents death...my staff sacrificed themselves for me...one by one...until I was the only one left." He smiled slightly. "And now I have you..."
Daemon leaned into the touch before he caught the man's hand and pressed his cheek to it. "I know. I'll stay as long as you'd like me to. I don't know if I'd be brave enough to do what your staff did, but I can try." He smiled at the man. "Do you mind telling me where your parents and staff are buried? I mean, do vampires leave bodies when they die?"
"My parents were buried in the family catacombs not far from here. The staff were buried in the cemetery further along towards the edge of the property." Vladimir replied. "I'll show you if you'd like."
"That would be great. At least to pay my respects to them. They saved you from the hunters and you've lived a nice life. I met you and I could at least bring them flowers or something."
Vladimir nodded and led Nightwing out of the stable, the carriage being pulled along with the stallion and he walked over to the front of the carriage where the passengers would sit along with whoever was holding the reigns. He offered to help Daemon up onto the seat.
Daemon accepted Vladimir's help. His leg wound had started to throb in the past few minutes and he really wasn't sure if he would be able to get on the carriage himself. He sat down and made himself comfortable. He pecked Vladimir on the cheek before righting himself. "Thank you."
Vladimir smiled at him. "You're very welcome. Let's go, Nightwing." he said softly. He gently snapped the reigns so it was nothing more than a tap and Nightwing began moving out towards the edge of the property where the graveyard was pulled the carriage with ease since the flat part was empty.
Daemon smiled as Nightwing pulled the carriage. He liked sitting here with the sun falling on them. He liked how it felt. He purred and leaned on Vladimir.
Vladimir gently leant his head on Daemon's and purred back. He turned his head to gently kiss the top of the younger man's head and he nuzzles against his hair, taking in his scent silently. He couldn't help but do so. Daemon's scent was so addictive to him.
Daemon chuckled when Vladimir leaned his own head on his. He liked how it felt. He felt rather safe around this man, even if he could drain his body of blood. He smiled to himself and placed his hand on Vladimir's thigh. "So, Vladimir, what are you going into town for?"
"Well...I was thinking of getting you your own wardrobe, that way you have clothes that fit you a little better. I also need to get some groceries." Vladimir looked at him with a slight smile. "It's not fair for me to drink from you and not feed you."
