"I see. So you still care about him even though he seems so against it?" Kyle was reaching and this seemed like a way to get to know Gabriel.

"Well. I deserve it so it's no biggy. He is a good guy in all this and I'm the bad one."
Gabriel looked at Bryan in shock. He knew nobody stays the same but him actually saying something like this? But on the other hand Bryan could just planned this. He was a person like that. But why?

"So you would say he doesn't make up stories?" Kyle blurted out without thinking as his eyes widened at what he just said.

"Him? No. Never. He is too honest for his own good. He got always in trouble for it but he doesn't learn. Why do you ask?"
Gabriel looked on Kyle this time. What happened? Why did he look like he saw a ghost?

"No reason, please continue," he interjected only to drop the pen when a familiar figure appeared in the doorway.

"Kyle?" A sweet feminine voice said from behind Gabriel and Bryan.

Bryan turned around but Gabriel done the same with his wheelchair, still clumsy with using his left hand.

Standing in front of the doorway was a pretty young woman with cute short brown hair and brown eyes. She seemed to ooze girl-next-door and a small sad smile appeared on her face, "it's been a while. You're mom gave me-"

"I'm working right now, can't you see that," he snapped at her which made her jump.

"I'm sorry. I should of called first...um I will just wait till you are done," she said as she walked off to wait in the sitting area.

"I'm sorry...So I am putting in the reason that he has medical issues and I hope you have a doctor's note? The university is a real stickler on this, so covering all the bases." He doesn't make eye contact, but fills out the paperwork fairly quickly.

He watched with a frown how stressed Kyle got with that girl around. Who was that? Was it ok to leave him with her? But what else he could do? When he heard about doctor's note he almost smacked his head. How could he forget about it?
"No we.. ", started Gabriel but Bryan interrupted him.
"Yes, we have", he said simply giving Kyle the note.
He was silent for few moments. Then looked at his ex-boyfriend in shock.
"Do I know you?"
"People change."
"So why were you so stubborn and didn't want me to come here today?"
"Because you looked like a dead man this morning."
Gabriel snorted but said nothing.

"Thank you," said Kyle as he began to copy some of the information from the doctor's note onto the paper before getting up and leaving. "I shall be right back. Need to make a copy and see if there is anyone else you need to speak to after this."

"I'll be right back", said Bryan with wide smile.
"Come back here."
But he didn't listen. With wide grin he made sure Kyle was gone and approached the girl with his best smile.
"Hello there", he said.
While Bryan was gone Gabriel cursed. His ex was like a devil himself so on his own, here.. who could know what he is up to.
