Simon turned his head to look at him, not really registering what all he just said, but he leaned down and nuzzled against Naoki's hair feeling whatever he had said had upset the neko in someway. "It isn't. I won't have to worry about it, though."

"You don't?", asked Naoki, looking up at the other male. "Why? Because of the potion? Is it making you impossible to kill?"

"As long as I keep renewing it, yes. However, there's a catch. I can still be burned at the stake if I don't have a regeneration spell set up as a safety net, or a necromancer spell. Either or. For some reason, witches and male witches are more prone to die from being burned with a magical fire from the council with their spells and any reference to them existing than any other way of dying." Simon replied.

"Is their magic somehow.. different?", he kept asking, really wanting to know more.

"Much different. More pure." Simon replied. "Almost holy, if you want to think of it like that."

"Why do they can use it even if they are not good?", asked Naoki softly.

Simon shrugged. "Don't know. Maybe because they have different books."

"Well...you have to have at least some magic in your blood, though I've heard it is possible to make a mortal learn magic with enough training." Simon replied. He didn't even mind that Naoki was once again in the spiral of asking so many questions.

"Simon...", Naoki paused, not sure if it was fine to ask that.. after all who would want to waste his time on him.
And what if he would be unable to learn that? Though wasn't it even possible to not to be able to do that?
