Valentine's Day, Do you love it, hate it or don't care?
 

I just wanted to ask to get people's opinons. Some people love it because they have a boo, or sweetheart who gives me them things and are truly in love with them. And then there are those that hate it, as they find it to be a ridiculous excuse to bang someone or get free gifts.

And then there are those like me, that don't care! xD

I hate valentines day every year I work myself up to tell my crush that I like them and chicken out at the last minute :(

i love valentines! its not just for sex and love all your friends give you valentines like chocolates and lil poems :) but i do wish i had boo C: lol

i was never one for valentines really, it's always been just like every other day.

I don't really like it and I really dont notice when the day comes. It makes the single people feel a little bit more lonely.

Well i love the valentine day so much and i always want to spend this day with my girlfriend and want to fuck her on this day and she also want to celebrate this day with me

well, its a random day to celebrate the togetherness with your loved one. i agree that it sucks when you don't have someone like that, and the chocolate doesn't makes up for that imo >.>
but i like it, even though im single atm :/
i guess i don't have a option though, being the hopeless romantic i am :p

It's a nice idea but always just winds up to mass commercialism, greed and exclusiveness. XD
The two Valentines days I was taken where even worse, my other half denounced it as a silly day that made people spend money simply to declare love, a thing which should be free, and she made me swear not to get her a thing.
She was right but I felt a tiny bit left out.

but its not like that you have to follow the mass :p

for me, only the idea counts^^
and just giving everyone chocolate is kinda dumpy anyway imo, atleast if thats someone who's close to you :p

I'd probably care more about valentines when I actually get to be with someone. Till then I have no feel for it.

It's a ridiculous day as far as i am concerned. I have never understood what all the fuss is about. The whole day is about having couples spend stupid amounts of money to "prove" they care and making single people feel like pariahs.

don't really care, not committed to a relationship, I don't really want someone "hanging" on me. I like the 'wam bam thank ya man" kind of deal I got. Still what a day to waste money 'proving" how much you love someone when saying "I lOve ya" is more than you think. :o

Well, over where I live it's called a Friends Day... just to throw out a different view on it XD I've never really celebrated it aside when I was in school. They had a radio casting in the school on that day and they'd read Happy Friends Day wishes and anonymous crush messages that were sent in earlier.

So I guess in my country it's pretty balanced overall between friends and couples and it's not a very commercialized thing... I don't notice it being at least x)

I'm all for spending the day with a boyfriend but I don't really care one way or another personally.

I've always found this hollyday quite hypoctirical, cause people I knew were desperate to find a bf or gf for that day and then dump them the next day.

I actually LOVE this Holiday... Mostly cause my Boy Friend's Birth Day is on Valentine's Day

but after all, its only about how YOU celebrate it, not how others abuse this day for making money or anything else~
and if you know the history of the day, it actually HAS something to do with love :D

I don't necessarily hate Valentine's Day, but I'm not exactly all that in love with it either.

Of course, that may just be because I'm bitter and single. XD

I'm usually a bit sad on Valentines Day, cause I don't have a boyfriend ;_______; It doesn't help that I always associate Feb. 14 with the death date of my great grandmother >_<

I don't mind it. If I'm single I just ask a friend to be my valentine that year for fun. Just because you're single doesn't mean you have to sit around moping. Go out with your other single friends.

Meh. If anything it's kinda annoying 'cause it reminds all us loners about our loneliness...

It's one the few days I get to throw my diet out the window and eat ice cream and chocolate in the dark solitude of my house while watching RomComs, screaming "WHY CAN'T THAT BE ME?!". Then I eventually watch something sad like the notebook, and then sleep.

as for me i dont really care about it but truth be told valentine day its just a big cosmic bitch slap and universe telling you remeber when you were in high school fat short and you couldnt even get someone to look at you well apart from being fat nothing has changed -.-
