Moogles: Past or Present?
 

This may seem a bit strange, but upon reading the various Final Fantasy threads and Kingdom Hearts threads I was wondering if anyone else had had the same internal debate. Which Moogles are better? x3 Yes strange I know, but I wonder what you guys and girls think.

This is an older version of a Moogle.

Lol, I have no idea what a moogle is. The first version is sort of cute, but I have to say the newer version is definitely cooler.

Aww! That's okay. They're characters from most Final Fantasy and even Kingdom hearts games. I have to say that I like the 2nd ones better x3.

I definately prefer the newer moogles seen in Final Fantasy 12 - however, here's a picture of a moogle to be featuring in the upcoming Final Fantasy 13-2.

I personally think it looks terribad :/

I love moogles! But I have to say, despite the fact XIII was my favourite, I prefer the old moogles.

Regardless, I'm still looking forward to FF13-2; 13 was AMAZING!

They're just so sweet, well designed and yet believable.

Vastly prefer the older moogle. FF6 was one of the first RPGs I played back in the mid-90s and to this day, no moogle even approaches the awesomeness of the "human-loving, fast-talking, street-smart, SLAM-dancing moogle" that is otherwise known as Mog.

Aw, but the first kind of widuw moogle looks so adowable in the other picture you posted...

For me,it's a tie between both. The older Moogles are so cute!
But the newer ones are awesome,too.
But I'll go with the older Moogles.

I'd have to say I prefer the newer rabbit look-alike Moogles. Though ff9's Stiltzkin and ff6's Mog are my favorite old school Moogles.

I like the ones in FF Tactics Advanced!

I rather like all of them. The one's shown in FF12 were more complete in culture and I appreciated them much more greatly than before. I think that the newest one from FF13-2 looks absolutely awful though. I think that Final Fantasy has been slowly dying since FF10 and hope that something is done to return the series to its full potential as it was during its old days. FF6 remains my favourite of the games and that game holds the first design shown.

I prefer the older look of the moogles. 9's were absolutely my favorite of them all, they were SO CUTE! xD Newer ones are like ew to me. : (

I have to say that I prefer the newer ones. I just find them really cute.

i like both, but i prefer the classic ones ^^
judging from the first pic in this thread, it looks like the designer used a Koala as reference for parts of it :3

Hah, it's so weird reading this thread 'cause I'm so used to people on the Internet calling me Moogle. XP

Anyway, I like the newer Moogles better. They're just so much more awesome. If you're wondering, though, I go by Mooglegirl because of the Moogles from Kingdom Hearts. That's the first time I ran into them, and they're just so adorable there. :3

Personally the older design will always hold a special spot in my heart and is what I think of when I see 'moogle.' The newer, more rabbit-like design is definitely cute too, but reminds me more of Namingway (Here's the FF wiki link if you don't know who I mean ) than moogles. =]
