King walked down the school yard. It was lunch time and he hoped that Alex was out and about. For a little while they had themselves distant for the fact they now had different clicks. Event though King would give up his own to be with Alex he was denied, and not only that King now lived on the other side of town with his mother and grandmother. He gave a sigh before giving up his pointless search seeming rather upset before climbing up onto the roof of the school and eating his lunch.

Alex had just finished his biology class..dreaming of becoming a great surgeon, he has to get at least an A for this term..now, during recess, he's looking for his best buddy, King..and he knows where to meet him..he's heading to the roof, the secret place just for him and King..

Alex walked through the corridor, with his white T shirt, and brown shorts..wearing basketball shoes, and carrying his books, he opened the door to the roof..

King blushed when he saw the boy walking up to him. He turned his head to the side hiding his blush. He couldnt help but blink and look at him. "I thought you were going to hang out with your friends today. After all, you should be with them, you dont need to worry about me, Im really fine, I have friends and stuff." King ranted on as he bit into his sandwhitch before chewing it. He was rather cute, but very manly at the same time. He liked being around Alex but didnt want to stop him from being around his friends.

"Well..one day with you won't make me lose my friend..will it??" Alex answered, grinning..

"So..how's your day??" Alex asked..before letting King spurt any question...

King looked at him grinning a little bit. "I guess your right....." he blinked looking at the boy and giving a sigh. "Good my band is well." he was very much into the music industry and he was actually going to be a musician when he got out of hghschool. He could sing and play drums well. "Have you been hurt lately." King asked with his protective nature kicking in. He didnt like anyone who hurt Alex and worried when he was hurt. Alex knew very well what he would do to someone if they hurt him. He would most likely kill them like he did with someone before that hurt him.

"Hmm..no..I am just fine..thank you" Alex answered..looking down..

Deep inside his heart..he knows that he loves King so much..but it's just to big to let out

"Hey..how about...mm..we grab a coffee..after school?? Would that be nice??" Alex asked King shyly...

King blinked with a warm hearted smile. He was happy that nothing was wrong with his body in any way. " Glad to hear that. If anyone hurts, you anyone you can always call me or text me and Ill be there as soon as I can be. I will never turn down your request for help. He grinned with a blush and a happy chuckle. Deep in the back of his mind he remembered the time when they were innocent kids who didnt know any better but to hold hands and sleep together, sometimes even bath together, but he now came to see it as wrong, but his heart now ached that he made the gap between them even bigger by moving to the other side of town "I can always make time fr you." He grinned excepting it.

"Thanks, King..you're my buddy ever" Alex smiled, and stood up..

"Well..see you by the gate after I finish my last class then.." and then walked downstairs..

King smiled and gave a wave of his hand. This was an off period for him. " Bye lo-" he cut himself off, he almost said it out loud. There was no way Alex was allowed to know what he felt inside, becuase Alex might think of him as a creepy wrong person. Alex was obviously strait as he only seen him with girls. Himself was always turning down people with a weak smile. He was only interested in Alex, the one person who knows King better than King does. "Ok ill see you there."

The bell rang..Alex got out of the class, and went straight to the gate..

"Hey, King..ready to go??" he asked King while carrying his backpack...

King smiled as the bell rang. He finished his deep thinking. What should he do about his feelings for Alex. There wasnt really much choices. He could just feel lonely forever and pleasure himself on what hes missing, or he could confess and be hated for the rest of his life. He whined as he walked to the gate. "Sure. I have money for us so you dont need to buy it." King having money was a surprise really, as his family is almost dirt poor and hes the only one working. And yet he was willing to spend well needed money of coffee.

"Thanks, King..well..which coffee shop should we visit now" he asked..

King blushed lightly as they started to walk around and found a small coffee shop. "This one?" He smiled as they entered and stood in line before ordering. He got his extra large double double and got Alex what he wanted. He smiled as they sat down. "Hey Alex...... what do your friends think of me?" He asked wondering what they were like.

"Hmm?? My friends?? Well..we don't talk about guys much..we only..speak about movies..songs..and girls.." Alex spoke as he slurped his shake..

King smiled lightly. "Do any of them like me at all." he gave a small blush thinking maybe he could see if someone else liked him so he could get closer to Alex in his group. But he also gaze the fact that he was gay out to Alex, but now he gain confidence. " Alex...... im....gay." He blushed as he turned head keeping his gaze away from him at all time.

Alex stopped slurping his shake..he was shocked to his core..he never thought that King, the one that is so protective to him, all this time, is a gay..

"No..none of them..have any special feeling towards you.....King.." Alex answered, still shocked..but he has this feeling towards King..the feeling that he doesn't want to admit to anyone..so he kept it to himself..

"Wow..King..that's...brave..that's so bold of you to admit that..but..what does that have to do with any of my friend??" Alex again asked, in confusion..

King smiled lightly with a blush, Alex took it well, but yet, he didnt want to express himself as he didnt want to force anything on Alex or better yet make Alex like him when hes strait. King paused looking at the boy. " Ok...... I was just asking......" King blushed taking a drink of his coffee, so far only Alex knew about him liking what he liked. " Well its not really something Im proud of.....Im more ashamed then anything....But its not like I can help it...." He really did feel ashamed for even thinking about expressing what he felt deep down inside of him for Alex. He looked at Alex again blushing thinking maybe it would be best to date one of his friends, to get close to Alex, but also make his feelings changed. "W-well.........i-i kinda like Wade......" He blushed knowing that he was willing to try wade.

"*cough..well..Wade..is not..well..you know..like you..he's..straight.." Alex again answered King awkwardly..

"Why does he have to confess that?? Our relation is good, why do you need to make it foggy now??" Alex thought to himself..

King thought for a minitue grinning. He knew Wade was a hetrosexual man but he deiced to just say a random man in the group, and Wade was the only one he met. "I....know I just like him....even though it cant happen." He blushed taking another slurp of his coffee. " T-t-this is mine and yours secret......" He said softly being a gentle beast he was. King usually kept stuff to himself alot and never opened up to anyone and that included Alex, unless Alex bothered him about it or asked.

"ahem..yes..it will..always be..our little secret.." Alex answered, slurping his shake..

Deep inside his heart..Alex knows..this is the best time to reveal his feeling towards King..but..he's just to scared..to puny to tell something that big..

"How could King have that courage, and I don't??" Alex murmured in his heart..

King blushed brightly before standing up and his phone going off. It was his guardians needed him for something so he stood up pushing his chair back. " I have to go.... Mom needs me to move something." He smiled brightly before walking off to the door with Alex behind him. King gaze him the normal hug they had at departure. "See you at school tommarow...." King grinned but had a bad feeling as he started walking home knowing he shouldnt have left Alex to walk back alone.

Alex was walking down the street, when he saw an old granny dropped her wallet when she crossed the road..the road is quite wide, and Alex walked to pick the wallet..without noticing that the traffic light had turned green..when he was bowing down to pick the wallet, a Hummer take a turn, and hit Alex, throwing him into the air..he lay there, bleeding heavily, unconscious..people gathered around him, trying to make him wake up..when the ambulance arrived..he was taken to the hospital, and his life, as the doctor said to his parents, is in grave danger..tonight will be his critical time..

King got home soon enough moving the overly large freezer and moving some furniture around for his place. Right when king got cleaned up and slipped on his bed time cloths his mother busted into the room in a panic, he knew that by he hands wildly shaking and her raspy yelling. King heard the news and felt the blackening and sickening of his heart. He bolted up from his bed grabbing his jacket and sliding on his shoes driving way over the speed limit along with his family and quickly and fluently made their way to the hospital. King got in saying they were family so they could enter after hours. After an hour or two of waiting in the room, King finialy made it their. He was now basicly crying knowing he didnt have to leave him there alone he could have walked him home, but no he though Alex would need some time to think why his "older brother" figure was gay. King sat beside Alex, everyone else had to leave for school and work, but King didnt leave not even for food. He sat down and waited for him to wake up. He wasnt in a coma just badly injured and pumped with drugs that probably knocked him out. King squeezed the boys hands crying almost the whole time he sat there.

"Where is this?? Why is it all so dark??" Alex was walking, or more correctly, floating..he can see his body down there..with somebody holding his hand..it is King..and, HE IS CRYING!!

"What the?? So..am I?? NO!! NO!! I CAN'T DIE NOW!! NO!!" Alex yelled, but no one can hear him..

"I haven't confessed to King yet!! NO!! I CAN'T DIE!! PLEASE!! GOD!! IF YOU DO EXIST, DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO ME!!" Alex was praying this time, in a semi-dead consciousness..he doesn't want to leave this world without confessing his feeling to King..

"If I can live, once more..I'll not lie anymore..I'll confess to King..I will..I will.." Alex was down on his floating kneels..begging for any miracle..when he saw a very bright light..he was blinded for a moment by it..when he opened his eyes..he feel his body so numb..he feels his head hurt so bad..and he saw King there..holding his hand..wet with tear..when he finally said the word..

"King.......I..love......you...I....always..do.... .King.."

King just prayed to what ever control the world. He wasnt into any religion, he just believe in what he wanted, and that included mixing religions together so it made more sense then just the far fetched crap. King held the hand firmly thinking of what he did wrong. How did he could have done, what he wished for Alex. He knew everything Alex wanted, his hopes dreams, and all the other stuff, like names for kids and such. King didnt want Alex to give up. Kings eyes cracked open hear his soft gently voice that was raspy. King cried a little harder rest his head on Alexs arm. He heard the words that he only dreamed of hearing. But why were the tears falling? Were they from joy, sadness? They are actually tears of both. Although King couldnt bring himself to say it at all. He hadnt worked up the courage yet so he bent while cryed and kissed the boy on the lips softly and lovingly.

"Agh..King..th..at..hurts..mmm.." Alex muffled as King's big arms pinned his rather small yet muscular arms..but the kiss, he truly enjoys it..

King pulled away from the boy blushing brighter than a stop light. He gave a small grin while grinning. Alex knew to well how King acted, when it came to harder more emotional subjects he usually likes to escape them and keep quiet. King barely ever spoke what he thought of something except for when it involved Alex. "S-s-sorry...... I-i......w-well....hmmmm" King sniffled as he tried to say but he couldnt without almost breaking down and crying. Soon enough he did and rested his beside the boys arm. Alex was Kings emotional protector and was always there for the harder emotional times, and King did the same for Alex but the physical protection. He has several scares from times protection Alex. The most clear is a long scar around his neck from surgery to remove a shard of something.

"aha..ha..you're..crying..King..what's..gotten into..you??" Alex asked, only able to move his head to King's direction as his other body part is still numb and bandaged..

"You..never cried..before..is it..because..of me??"

King sobbed for a minute while giving a sad grin. He rubbed his eyes clear of some tears and blushing. King nodded telling Alex yes it was because of him. "mmmmmm b-b-because...... i-i d-d-dont l-like w-wade........b-becuase, i-i love you...." He blushed crying some more and gave a somewhat warming smile for Alex.

Alex was shocked..he never thought that King was hiding this much to him..he was rather disappointed..but at the same time, he felt something warm..something so peaceful inside his heart..and he knows..it's the feeling that emerges after you confess something..and now that they don't have anymore to hide, Alex spit it out..

"I have..loved you..since..the beginning..of our friendship..you've..protected me..guarded me..from harm..shielded me..from rain..and cloaked me..under harsh son.." Alex said that, trying to lift his limp hand to touch Mark's tear, even though he knows it's almost impossible and dangerous for his recovery..

King loved Alex with all his heart, more than he could ever express. King did feel horrible for keeping things away from Alex, but in the end he would know all his secrets. Kings heart fluttered before crashing into his rib cage, he loved this boy even when he was in the hospital bed. When everyone left him because they "had" to, while King stopped his life, even if he had to repeat or get fired or anything of the sort, he'd give it all away for Alex.

King didnt know when he started loving the boy at all. All he knew was his feelings when his hormones took a spike, conveiently it was also the time he started to like other guys. King became sexual attracted to Alex, but also he started to ask himself why they were friends and conversed through his memories and notice the trends. King cried more as he felt the boys hand wipe away his tears. " I-I-I dont......know....w-when i-i l-loved you.....and i dont.....care i-i love y-you n-now.... and I wont lose you. Youve....always been my therapist in a way......h-helping me w-with my problemes, my rage, my life, everything.... I wont leave you ever again." King blushed before gently kissing the back of the boys hand. He hoped it would get better soon.

"Haha..ha..I've never seen..you like this..King..this is..shocking..in a..good way" Alex said, and he coughed..

It was soon enough he just cried himself to sleep, resting his head on the bed. His tears were sadness, happiness, and a lot of other things that went through his mind. Although the accident played through his dreams, no matter how he tried to change it, it turned into a the same thing or worse. King kept his head on the bed until morning waking up on the sunday at 11 o clock. The doctor checked in and smiled, it was good news. "Hell be fine after he recovers in a month or so but, hell be a little bandaged up." the doctor stated before leaving. He looked at Alex with a smile. " s-see! Youll be ok Alex! I knew you would. And I wont leave you here alone!" He said smiling with the tear running down his face as he basicly jumped for joy.

Alex was sleeping when King was telling the good news..but those noise reached his ears, and he was awakened..he saw his best friend, now his lover..crying loudly at the side of his bed..he started to love this person even more, now..even more sexually..he feels his bandaged hips start to tighten..

"SHIT!!" Alex realized what's happening..he's aroused by this person..and it's also his morning wood..well..not that morning..but he's afraid that King will see that clearly imprinted bulge..

Alex was sleeping when he heard King shouted the great news..he was awakened, and he felt his morning wood began to rise under his bandaged hips..

"SHIT!!" Alex thought..he doesn't want King to see him in such an arousing condition..

King blushed noticing Alexs arousal. There wasnt to much he could do, he didnt want to hurt Alex, so he didnt do anything, plus he was to shy. King to had now just aroused from seeing Alex aroused. "ummmmm" This is was awkward for him, he just looked at Alex shyly unable to do anything with it, if he so as moved the bandages, Alex might be there longer than needed.

King helped Alex out the door of he hospital, the only thing that needed to be watched was his deep wound on his left shoulder, although the goo thing was it was almost healed and he had painkillers. King blushed when he gave his shy teddy bear smile at Alex. King reached down and gently laced his fingers through Alexs, holding his hand. King smiled " where to!?" He asked a little more excited now that they can do things together.

"Hmmm..your place will be nice.." Alex answered shyly when he felt King was holding his hand..

King blushed as he smiled. He liked seeing Alex walk around and being somewhat happy around him. King slowly walked his way to his house. His larger figure walked thorugh the door, no one was home, grandma was at her elderly club and mom was working hard. He looked at Alex smiling. "h....how much do you like" he asked with his shy smile.

"Hmm..well..your new house is nice..I like it" Alex walked beside King, observing the house..

King smiled as he sat down on the couch taking a breath. It was smaller and wasnt the best livin conditions, but he survived with it, after all, all he cared about wasnt the money but the safty and his love for Alex. He looked up at Alex blushing before he pulled the boy into his and snuggled his head into the crook of the boys neck. "You smell.......nice and your smooth." He smiled with like 80 shades of red on his face no really knowing what to do. He wanted to act normal but he really couldnt. It felt differnt now, that they are more or less secretly going out.
