Fem gay guys
So, reading the thread by NeekoNeeko about girly lookin ukes, it made me want to start a topic about fem looking gay guys. I dont hate them, but do not find them attractive. When i say attractive i dont mean they arent good looking but dont make me AT ALL turned on(no joke), but when i think of "gay", i think of "guy" not "girl." So what is up with all these really girly gay guys? I want a man....lmfao. Someone as strong as me(i'm not a body builder or anything, with a guy's physique(skinny is fine), maybe a little facial hair and clothes that aren't so fem. I dont want make-up or sparkles, or to much Hollister fragrance, leave that to the girls. I want a guy that doesn't cream over Britney Spears music. And if we hang out, not to be stared at because we look like a flaming couple. In my town all the gay guys were spotted 4+ years before they came out, I know their are more like me, but where are they!!! lmao
|
I know what you mean. I am gay but in no way am I that girly. I joke about such things but I like men who are well men? Most of the gays I have known, both now and growing up, have been flaming with a side of petrol gay. I can always see why that type of gay can make some people nervous.
A man does not have to look like a girl to be attractive XD. I am not out out. My friends know and they where surprised because I am apparently don't act gay. I actually really like manly men XD, but not hairy ick. |
I think a lot of these posts/threads seem to be jumping into the deep end and taking things only from their most extreme examples.
Being effeminate is something common to straight men as much as as gay and shouldn't be confused with being a Fem or an Uke. Besides, I think Ukes can be very effeminate without actually indulging in anything either camp or girly. I do know one or two highly camp and effiminate guys and frankly if you actually meet the the real-life people rather than (I assume) looking at Kamitora dickgirl art you'll perhaps see the reality of Ukes and girly guys rather than the most extreme examples from art or television. I'm not a big fan of people complaining about it though, some people are gay, get over it. Sounds like the thin end of the wedge saying that your comfortable with people being intolerant to anyone whose gay simply because they don't like 'flaming queers.' Thats just a characterisation and anyone posting here should know thats just a personality and being gay is next to irrelevant. I've met a few (although not many!) straight guys just as glorious. Maybe its just my part of the UK, but in my group of friends they love going out with one of our flaming gay friends. How can you hate someone so warm, funny and friendly? I've got to be honest, whether its your intention or not Lucifer but your OP post reads to me like; "I'm the good kind of gay, but can't come out because my friends are intolerant of the bad kind of gay and the bad kind of gay would give me a bad name." Probably not your intention. |
Well...i think that the topic is more like ''do girly guys turn u on?'', not about ''girly'' personalities. Personally really girly guys dont turn me on(most of the time). As for the girly personality/style issue...it just doesn't bother me, democracy is about being able to express urself, and that's freedom. Unfortunately everything is ''cliqued'' , even between gay people. But that's not the matter here anyway :D
|
I do agree, I dislike girly men. They annoy me by being so loud and scream over britney spears and lady gaga, but if girls do that it annoys me as well. I'd really like a man, a strong man. I think people are afraid to come out because of the reactions of people, they immediately think of those really girly gay guys and wont accept them. Im not out because of that, and I think i'll wait a few years, I know my mom accepts it. I really dislike britney spears, lady gaga etc and I like games though I dont really like beer =D
|
The long hair in front/back or both as well as being skinny is fine. However, the feminine personality, glitter, and gleam isn't. I prefer a younger look over older when it comes to males. Not to the point where it is feminizing however. =/
|
Flembiyant gays are kind of a turn off, not because they are ugly, but the fact that in the back of my mind I see agirl. Which is a turn off because I like Dick not pussy lol. I have nothing fem in my voice which I thank god every day for lol. I don't know if they purposly make their voice girly or they are born with it. But yea...fun to hang out withflem gays as long as they don't try to get into my pants lol. Manly man please and thanks....like ichigo! :P

"What do you think about really girly gay gays?"
-They aren't my type, but I admit they are cute. "Would you like a man's man, or a sparkly, or "so tan they look mexican" guy? (latinos are hot btw)" -Don't really care. "Where are the (gay) guys at! lol Are they scared to come out?" -Depends on the person. "Why would they be afraid to come out? Is it because of the flaming ones they dont wanna be associated with? ( sadly that's my reason for telling no one i am bi except you guys , i could almost careless about what my family thinks at this time in my life, being 21 )" -I suppose they'd be a bit afraid, but I'd come out with it (I'm bi as well) anyway because I don't want to lose any chances of finding love. "If your not "out" why? ( i'm not and it's because of the "Gay" lifestyle, i could go on and on.)" -I'm out. To some of my family. It's hard finding time to go and seek out each of my family members (they all are spread across the US) or call them to tell them. I'll do it though. |
What do you think about really girly gay gays?
... They are fine. I don't love all of them but some I really like. And if we're going for what 'kind' of gay people are, I suppose I fit more into the girly gay category than the 'straight acting' gay. I think whether someone is a 'girly' gay or not you need to be able to accept that even if you don't personally find them attractive. It's kind of unfair to make them seem like they somehow are less of a man because of their personality or how they dress. We might not turn you on but we 'girly gay' guys have feelings too you know. :p Would you like a man's man, or a sparkly, or "so tan they look mexican" guy? (latinos are hot btw) No preference really. I like guys who can have lots of different and surprising things about their personality. Like, a 'sparkly' as you put it who has a great personality and is fun to be with will make me as happy as a 'man's man'. Where are the (gay) guys at! lol Are they scared to come out? Why would they be afraid to come out? Is it because of the flaming ones they dont wanna be associated with? ( sadly that's my reason for telling no one i am bi except you guys :D, i could almost careless about what my family thinks at this time in my life, being 21 ) If your not "out" why? ( i'm not and it's because of the "Gay" lifestyle, i could go on and on.) Look, I know you're bi and in the closet, and that's fine. If you're not ready to come out, then alright. But, you seem to actually be kind of homophobic. It's as if it's alright to be a certain type of gay, or bi, as long as you still act all manly. Even if you like 'manly' guys and consider yourself one that's no reason to blame other gays for you not coming out. There's nothing wrong with campness if it is how you want to express yourself. Oh, I forgot to answer the question. >< Yeah, I'm fully out, not that it's the only thing I talk about. But if someone asked I would tell them, but I wouldn't wave it in someone's face for no reason and go on about it as if it's the only thing that makes me who I am. And if I was in the closet for whatever reason, I doubt it would be other 'gays' that would stop me coming out. It would be homophobes. Finally, bi and gay guys reading this, what are you into? Winecoolers, britney spears and nothing but Hollister clothes, or Games, a beer and what most would consider "straight" conversation? ( now, i dont HATE britney spears, at a club it is fine, dont hate hollister they make sick jeans (without holes), and winecoolers taste a hell of a lot better than beer) Um... If you mean hobby wise I like reading and watching tv/films. |
Anyone else feel me?
Yea i feel you Luicifer :) What do you think about really girly gay gays? I know quite a few girly gay guys, and personally, I find them obnoxious and sometimes an embarassment. The girly gay guys ( I know, not talking about how others might now) are very loud, touchy (they touch my friends, who are girls, boobs!). I can't stand them, as being a gay man myself, they can turn the "gay" image into a bad one. Heck, there are so many, they have given the GSA at my school a "South Beach" attitude as raunchy, rude, and sexual. But this year, the major well known girly gays are now going around "swearing they are bisexual"! We all know them as gay, so we think that they saying they are bisexual is wrong, as c'mon, no girl would honestly go out with that... Would you like a man's man, or a sparkly, or "so tan they look mexican" guy? (latinos are hot btw) I want a man's man. I LOVE latino's as they are mainly guys I date. The ones I have dated have been macho, true men, not girly at all. And I am only slightly girly but i'm not a true girly gay guy. My friends tell me they love who I am because i'm a normal dude, not a flesh meat-head gay nor a effeminate. Where are the (gay) guys at! lol Are they scared to come out? Why would they be afraid to come out? Is it because of the flaming ones they dont wanna be associated with? If your not "out" why? Well you need to find them on your own! Most people are here are probably either women, or gay/bisexual men. I am gay myself as previously said. I view many LGBT people are petrified of coming out, due to the fact that they feel if they do, family and friends will reject them. And especially when their Latino, as most Latino famililes are Catholic, and are very strict and don't want any child of theirs to be gay/bisexual. Many even disown them! That's why they are so afraid of coming out. I view that most gay people do not care about flamers, because they are people too, yet they won't assossiate themselves with them because they give off a bad image. I am "out" and very PROUD of who I am! I LOVE being a gay man! Finally, bi and gay guys reading this, what are you into? Winecoolers, britney spears and nothing but Hollister clothes, or Games, a beer and what most would consider "straight" conversation? I am into a lot of things. Reading, Video Games, Swimming Ping-Pong, Anime (Yaoi and Bara obviously!). I do like Britney Spears, but I pefer when she was in her prime when I was about 7. She came out with "Toxic" and all those good songs. Now her good image is gone, she ruined it with the head-shaving, acting out, but I still listen to her as she still makes good music. But i'm not "OmG iT's BrItNEY SpeARS!" thats just annoying. I can't really consider anythign a "straight" conversation, as most straight guys that I know, are rude to me. But I do have some straight guy friends, and they are very "homo-friendly". But a "straight" conversation would be with a beer, watching football or any sport, and talking about some chick's boobs and her pussy. Now that is a true straight man. |
"What do you think about really girly gay gays?"
They aren't my type. I don't know any, but I must admit that I saw a lot of them. It's quite annyoin', I think. I don't have any prejudices or something, but I just don't like that. "Would you like a man's man, or a sparkly, or "so tan they look mexican" guy?" Uhm ... I don't care? "Where are the (gay) guys at! lol Are they scared to come out?" That really depends on the person, his experiences, history and so on. "Why would they be afraid to come out? Is it because of the flaming ones they dont wanna be associated with?" Well, you know. Everywhere can be homophobics. Homophobia is like racism. It's hard to belive facts or to listen to. It's easier to belive in myths and rumours. It is, always was and always will be hard to come out. You can't look into someone's head, you don't know how he/she will react. It could "kill" you. Maybe this person will treat you different than before. Sometimes a person, who is gay, had a hard life (Bullying, bad/dead parents...). That can change everything. The history, your parenting can influence us and our choices (to tell or not to tell). If you told someone that you're gay and if that person says that he/she hates gays or you because of that, you'll be careful with every next step you'll do. "If your not "out" why?" I am out and it was somehow hard for me, because you never know what a person will say or think. My mother knows and some of my closer friends (but the funniest thing is, they're all girls ^_^) Finally, bi and gay guys reading this, what are you into? Winecoolers, britney spears and nothing but Hollister clothes, or Games, a beer and what most would consider "straight" conversation? Oh well, I'm into a lot of things. Reading books (fantasy mostly :D), Roleplaying (larp, but also pen and paper), Animes, Swimming, Music (Rock/Metal)... I really dislike alcohol and I don't drink any. You can't say this and that is "gay" or "straight", because every person is different and (re)acts different. That's my humble opinion. (: |
What do you think about really girly gay gays?
I agree with Said. "They are fine. I don't love all of them but some I really like." and you shouldn't judge them by how they act or what they wear. I have my own girly traits, but I'm pretty much fall in the quiet bi guy category. So it really fun having girly gay guys around to hang with or just listen to them talk and talk and talk. Y'know to speak up for the little guy whether we want them to or not. Where are the (gay) guys at! lol Are they scared to come out? Why would they be afraid to come out? I'd tell you if you ask me, but usually I don't say anything about it. Really just my friends know for now. I planned on telling my mom sometime soon, but I'm afraid she might come after me with the holy cross. Cancer took my dad a few months back so I'm supposed to be the "Man" of the house for my mom and little brother. So I'll just wait til I move out. (Yeah I'm afraid my mom...she crazy O_o) Finally, bi and gay guys reading this, what are you into? Well...I want a tablet for christmas so I can draw better on the computer. (drawings is just kinda my stress reliever) I like playing older games I played as a kid and trying to beat them now that I'm older. I don't drink or smoke or anything so I guess play with my cats and little brother. Reading anime, watching tv, texting very few people. I don't have as many friends as I use too. They were all older then me so they're all gone to collage. nothing really for me to do now. So i'm just a normal lazy teen :) |
I can understand what has been said about fem gays and stuff like you don't want to come out cos you don't want to been seen as them. But you have to understand thats just how some people are its not a act its just them. I yeah I ain't gonna lie people do put it on but what can you do?
I am gay and I am pretty much out to everyone now exp the family, but thats for a different time. I have friends that are fem gay and also are straight acting they are both fine people nothing wrong with any of them. You can't just put them type of people in to one group cos yeah you do get really bicthy fem gay guys. But I have found you do get REALLY stuck up "Straight Acting" gay guys I mean how would you like it if that straight acting gay guy thought you was a fem gay you wouldn't like it, so you shouldn't do it to other people..... But you people saying you want a manly man what do you mean by that? Think about it are you a manly man your self? So you can sit around and watch the football and have some beers? Or that you just find them really hot and you want them to be big and strong and you want them to take charge of you? If so thats a really fem thing to say in its self its like you want to be the fem one in the relationship. As for my self I would say I do have a bit of a fem side but its not like screaming in your face kinnda thing if you get what I mean? I would say I am pretty much in the middle with this I don't wear make up or do anything like that I only fix my hair but thats it xD! But let me know what you think about that I have said help any one? xD! |
I think its a easyer life for non girly gays. The last 18 of my life noones could tell that I was gay, but if I told them I was they wouldn't be suprised. My question is, are they born girly? Or is it a trait they have taken on? :s (curious lol)
|
Answering for my self I Would say I am not girly as such just that I have a fem side.
And I would say Yeah I was born with my fem side I have never been in to sports or anything like that. Nothing people did my age back then where in to anything I was. I was more computer games more and anime and art stuff xD! Tbh with you I think some people do fake it some times to fit in to the gay scene and not being them selfs. Some people don't understand that you don't have to be fem to be gay. |
The way I am reading this, it all comes down to presonal preference. What kind of personality type turns you on. I am a bi male, little older, but am turned on by straighter acting guys for sex. Having said that, I do have buds that are a bit on the girly side, and while a few of them are real cute, and have made out a few times, a deeper sexual relationship won't happen. I live in a very conservative community, so am staying in that closet until someone can convince me that what I do is their business...:-)

It's silly to jump to conclusions. Yes, there are people like you, gay guys who act like straight guys who want guys who act like straight guys. And there are some people like me, who would prefer not to wonder if my lover will be cheating on me with some cover-up girl. :3 I'm a boy and that won't change. I don't want to be a girl. But these silly conceptions of female and male need to be adjusted. Simple eyeliner does not make me any less of a boy, or any more of a girl. And yes, I adore Lady Gaga. Her music is lovely to me, and her political reform movements should be appreciated by all gays, men like you or me. If you want to look like and act like a straight male, that's perfectly fine. If you want to meet someone nearly your clone and date them, that's acceptable. But bashing people like me and many others is not something I would consider appropriate. Maybe it wasn't your intention, but appealing to this idea is as good as going against what I as a human being stand for. >o> Think before you speak.
|
Well I think that if a guy would like to go out with something "girly" he would choose the real thing; a girl, not a girly guy!
I think it's proper for ukes to act a little cute but not completely like girls! |
I like girly guys they are cute
|
most of the girly ones ive seen are extremities and yes they do annoy/turn me off. BUT there are afew who seem to be decent that i wouldnt mind befriending (just not dating LMAO)

Quote:
Girly gays FTL, even though I like to fix my hair every morning, I feel like both wimen and males see nothing attractive in me...:(, besides a really skinny guy. |
Totes agree
Overly effeminate blokes really grate on me, being gay =/= being a woman.
I'd say the few effeminate things about me is that I'll go nuts if there's some insect or spider in my proximity, and when I get drunk, I dance with lots of hip gyrating. Sure I'm not into sports, but stick a glass of wine and a bottle of ale in front of me and I'll likely choose the ale <3 I'm quite involved with the LGBT at my university, but it's annoying when some of the other members talking about crap like getting their eyebrows shaped... You're not a woman so stop "fabulous" and be a man - manly men a sexy, and it makes you feel all protective like :D Oh, and "bloke" means man, it's British slang ;) |
I applaud effeminate guys (whether gay or straight ) as they're not afraid to hide who they truly are to fit the stereotypical 'moulds' implemented by society. I'd much rather date a 'brave' out, proud and flamboyantly feminine gay/bi guy other a (hate the term) "straight acting " closeted gay/bi guy.
As a self-proclaimed indie/alternative rock lover I tend to stay clear of clubs all together, mostly so I don't have to hear music which I don't particularly like, such as Britney Spears. I'm more of an inde bar type kind of guy, who enjoys drink beer, flavoured cider etc. But cocktails are just as nice too. To be frank I don't get how drinking beer and playing video games constitutes towards one being deemed pseudo-masculine.. Lol |
A old post, but I just need to answer. I love girly gay guys. I don't think they have to like pink things, like Britney Spears and are all sparkle sparkel to be girly. I just think about they are more like skinny with no muscles. And you have also them with muscles and long hair. It's just hot :3
