Destiny Island Romance (Starwarrior and Dablackstallion)
Along the white sand shores of Destiny Island walked Sora, who seemed to be in another world. While that little tidbit of information wasn't new to any of his friends, today he seemed really lost in though. With his shoes in his hanging by the tips of his finger, the teen slowly continued to walk along barefoot on the clean shore, his shape slowly blending with the slowly setting sun. Once in a while, he would take a quick looks around, as if looking for someone before turning his sights straight ahead, continuing his treck to no where.

Riku looked around. Nothing but the sea. Riku loved to be alone. There was something about solitude that struck a chord for him. The peace and quiet, just the mere tranquility one experiences was what Riku really enjoyed. There were no distractions, no pressures, just himself. There were very few who understood Riku and his thoughts, one of which Riku could hear walking towards him.
In his peripheral vision he could see one of his best friends, Sora. It was odd, usually you could hear Sora before you see him, but today Sora seemed a bit...off. Riku stayed put, keeping his eyes on the vast sea in front of him. He knew Sora would make his way over to him eventually. |
Sora slowly cocked his head up enough see the outline of Riku standing upon a small cliff overlooking the ocean. From his point of view, Sora could deduce that Riku was looking out into the endless ocean again. This view had become more, and more common for him during the past couple of months. Something that had both puzzled, and to be honest, was starting to freak him out a bit. Though, Sora's face didn't shown this new found concern as his feet carried him towards his friend. Once in range, Sora waved over. "Hey Riku" he said as he walked towards him. "Whatcha doning?"
|
Riku turned his head to acknowledge Sora. "Nothing." Riku said, turning his head back to the body of water in front of him. Sora seemed a bit glum today. Usually he would run at him, waving 'hi' or even try to tackle him and give him a noogie, but none of that today, just a modest wave.
To be completely honest, Riku wasn't feeling like himself lately either. He felt like something was off, something wasn't right. "Sora, do you ever feel whole?" Riku asked. |
Quote:
"What?" The bluntness, and unexpectedness of the question caugh Sora off guard. "What do you mean by that? Of course of feel whole..." he said. At least I think of whole... Sora shook the question off as he turned back towards Riku. "Say, what are you doing here? I though you said you where going to be training over by the dock?" he asked. Sora looked a bit closer at Riku...and noticed that he wasn't his same, calm self. It was like something was bothering him...just like something was wth himself. |
Riku's eyes remained on the sea in front of him. He could hear Sora respond to his question. He could hear his naive answer, and even from the tone of his voice, he knew Sora was lying. "I don't know what I mean by that, Sora. I guess...I guess I just wondered what you thought about it." Riku bowed his head.
He heard Sora ask him about training by the docks. "Oh. Yeah. I was supposed to train at the docks today." Riku stood up and turned towards Sora, "you coming?" |

(Hey, you don't have to quote my last response. You can continue to do it if you prefer it though :) )
Riku smiled. There was something about Sora. No matter what kind of funk he was in, Sora always managed to pull him out of it and put a smile on his face. "You couldn't even beat me in your dreams." Riku said, sounding more like himself as he punched Sora lightly in the shoulder. He walked towards the road waiting for Sora. |
"Oh please! I'll have you begging for mercy" the brown haired boy yelled as he caught up with Riku. Once in range, he jumped up, and grabbed on to the back of the older boys neck, swinging around playfully like a monkey.
|
Riku tried to keep his balance as Sora latched onto him. "Hey!" Riku said, laughing. "No sneak attacks!" Riku yelled. He began to run as fast as he could to the docks, the swinging Sora stuck on his back. He swerved left and right, trying to shake the brown haired boy off of his back.
