Anyone use yaoi as masturbation material?
 

May or may not be a stupid question, but I'm curious so what the hay.

I think about yaoi on a daily basis, and the majority of my fantasies involve it (usually I'm not involved in the fantasy myself, I'm just thinking of the characters). I often go around to my favorite sites to gather and hoard pictures that I like, but I don't masturbate to the material. Or I should say can't masturbate to it. I look at yaoi for the art and while it certainly does get me sexually excited for some reason I can't get off to it. I get aroused while looking at it and if it gets to the point where I need to masturbate then I go watch some porn.

It's a male thing Snope, we need visual prompts when masturbating or becoming aroused. Apparently it's more typical for women to read or imagine.

But yes, I'm aware guys are more visual then women. I just wanted to know if they were using yaoi for masturbation as opposed to real porn like myself. I know alot of them are lol.
Fanfiction and fantasies aren't enough to push me over the edge. I need to be viewing actual porn, and there needs to be movement and sound. Though why I can't just watch something animated I'll never get, I'm a contradiction haha.

Mostly I just enjoy watching it, I think some artists are insanely talented at making some of these drawings (like Mentaiko). So I can appriciate it as an art on it's own, but if it's a dojin I have absolutely no problem with getting off on it. Although I usually don't use porn or yaoi to get off, I just close my eyes and imagine the most wonderful things. But everyone once in a while an extra edge doesn't hurt :p
