In it Deep ((For ~NekoUke~))
In the home of the Oshio clan Just outside of Tokyo. A group of men were discussing some some business while being served with good food and sake by some beautiful geishas. They were on the subject of which branch were controlling sections of the city. A man in his late twenty's was listening in and had a calm expression on his face. He was actually the youngest out of the other men who in their late forty's, mid fifty's.
"I am telling you that the Uneo clan are just waiting for a moment of weakness to take us down in the docks." A older gentleman said, wearing a traditional kimono. "They been wanting to get their hands on our supplies because they know we are a threat." he adds on, sounding mad. This man the young male sigh and looks at them. "Gentleman. If we are to act rash about this, we will just fall right into their traps. For now we are to act like nothing is happening. If word got out that they are getting under our skin. They will strike." he said and took a sip of his sake. "As head of the clan. I will not anyone attacking anyone." he tells them in a calm, but serious voice. About an hour later the dishes were taken tot he kitchen and everyone left the house, but the head of the clan, Masaru. He steps out tot he garden to have a smoke. Dealing with the older members is very stressful. They rather take action then to think. It's not like the gold old days. Now of days you have to be careful or you will be caught. |
There was another male among them however standing at the side of the room taking everything in as he watched with a calm expression also. Denieru Yagashi; in his early twenties looked to be dressed significantly differently as he was an underling after all. Wearing a leather jacket, t shirt, jeans and sneakers no one would pay him any mind either. Which was preferable because he was undercover but no one knew that. And if he was found out it would be very bad for him.
Denieru even used some of his pull to help out the Oshio clan. Well he was investigating them so he had to be sure things went in their favor and not against them. After the meeting was over he had followed the male he had managed to partner up with and stood silently; out of respect. |
He takes a long drag of his cigarette, he releases the smoke from his mouth and into the night sky. He looks over his shoulder at his new underling. He's been been with the clan for a few months now. Of course everyone was a little uneasy because you can hardly trust anyone anymore, but he trust him. He put him through hell in the first month but he lived through it and stayed and he respect him for it.
"Hope the meeting wasn't to boring for you." he said in a calm voice. This was his first meeting he let him attend to show him how things go down. "The older ones tend to think with their guns and muscles then with their brain." he tells him. "They think way to much of the past. But if you rush that will just alert the police." he tells him. |
Of course Denieru knew all that, but he could not let him on that he did. "Though there's nothing wrong with tradition." He said, and he was right in a way as he looked around the garden; trying to think of what else he could talk to him about. Denieru proved his loyalty simply by doing things no other undercover cop would. He pretty much had to do whatever it took.
He wondered what the end game was; and if it was good that two of the biggest clans in Tokyo would potentially wipe each other out. Denieru thought about those geisha he saw earlier and had suspicions about them; did they come from where he thought they did? "So those geisha, where did they come from of I may ask?" |
He enjoys the cool crisp evening air. As his underling asked him about the geisha he had at the meeting. "They were provided by the owner of a tea house that is under our protection." he tells him. "That and the owner happens to be a friend of my from high school. So he basically owns me a life debt." he said and chuckles. For that was meant to be a joke. He may look a little cold and rough, but he is a pretty decent fellow.
"So, how are settling into the clan?" he asked in a calm and curious tone. "We rarely let outsiders join. It's usually the sons of the previous generation that join." he tells him. |
He nodded thinking having now been proven wrong about where he thought the geisha came from. Denieru suspected they had come from the slave trade which they indulged in. He looked back out towards the garden and crossed his arms, knowing and not liking that he would have to see that soon.
"I'm surprised; actually just as surprised as you I was allowed in." It may have been a break from their traditions but Denieru had impressed in just a short time and it was almost unheard of. "Any other business for today?" |
"Well, it was me that allowed you to enter. Sometimes we need to change." he tells him. Taking another drag of his smoke before he puts it out in a nearby ashtray. He has been trying to cut back on them. They help him unwind, but he was still packing half a pack a day. As he was asking him if there was anything else planed for the evening. He was about to tell him when another member came in and bows to Masaru.
"Oshio-sama. I am sorry to come in this late." he said before he goes up to him and whispered into his ear. Something about a large sum of money going somewhere. The man nods his head as he listens before he looks him in the eyes. "Good work. You may good." he tells him and the other member left. Then he turns to Denieru. "Sorry about that. We do need to go to Pink Pearl Parlor in the red light district. They are behind in their payments of money they borrowed from us." he tells him. |
Even Denieru would remind him of that. "You do need to give those up; can't be good for your health." He said and listened to the conversation when the other man came into the room and nodded when he left. Though he didn't hear the full version he caught some key points and this would pretty much help him.
"Pink Pearl Parlor?" Denieru asked and nodded again as he waited for Masaru to lead the way. Was this club also going to be what he thought it was going to be? |
He chuckles as his underling tells him to stop with the smoking. "I know, I know. I should. You think that it would easy, but there are things rougher then quitting to smoke." he tells him. "But thanks for your concern." he said with a smile on his face. Soon he leads him to where he kept the car, which was a black and very tainted windows. Then heard him repeat the name of the place. "Yes. It's a soap land place that opened up some years ago. They been under our protection since day one. This is actually quite normal." he tells him. Once both of then were in the car. He gets behind the wheel and drives into the city of Tokyo.
When they arrived, they went to Kabukicho and came across a building with a anime mermaid girl holding a pink pearl sign above the door. As they entered it was dim and had a pink glow to it. The place looked pretty clean and well managed. People were walking around wearing robes that just barely covered their private parts. The only person in the room that were dress beside the two of them was the very large and scary looking bodyguard and the girl behind the counter. The girls looked onward as they entered for most of them knew who Masaru was. He walks up to the counter. Where the young woman in her twenty's was working. He comes up with a smile on his face. "Good evening. Is Sazuki-san in today? Him and I have some business to discuss." he said in a polite but business like tone. The woman nods her head and lead them to the owner's office. She tells them that he was with a client right now, but would let him know he was here and just to wait for him in here. He nods his head and soon it was just him and Denieru in the office. |
Nothing was ever normal in this town though; and Denieru was testament to that. His mixed heritage, half Japanese and half British on top of his early twenties age might have ensured he never got anywhere within the Tokyo PD; let alone the Yakuza here. But surprisingly he did. Becoming the youngest detective and only non-full blooded Japanese senior officer.
Denieru didn't have time to dwell on that though; still thinking this club bore some shady secrets; which would be hidden in the cellars. Sure they usually stored liquor there but what else? He sat in the office and looked at Masaru as if to say he wasn't sure. "If he's holding back payment why don't we just barge in there?" Denieru was only called in if he needed to 'persuade' an individual; maybe Masaru even knew how reckless Denieru was. |
