Cyber Wonderland

Plot:

In a day and age, much like that of Psycho-pass or perhaps if you have seen Summer worlds, Virtual reality had come a far way for information available, to lots of fun interactive things that make it interesting. Most of the world, it is a fun distraction, or perhaps a mixture of a tool and entertainment. To Sesome, it is his last link to the outside world, both figuratively and physically. With a vague illness, Sesome cannot exert himself too much, nearly bedridden, his absent mother presents him with a headset to enter the virtual reality. But what if there are more hidden secrets and misconceptions in his reality than that of the online world? What if someone interacted with him and connected the dots?

This would be a story beginning of someone, meeting a rather isolated and not very tech savy boy. Chatting a little here and there, but wold they ever delve deep enough for secrets to unravel or perhaps simply be a sometimes companion? That is the choice of your characters role. Please message me or post here with ideas or interests.

Other details:

This roleplay could be
Non-sexual/ non-romantic
Nonsexual but romantic
Or Sexual and romantic

It could simply revolve around them chatting, it could even be a possible group or other plot line added in, or it could deal with the whole secrets thing. If anyone is interested even in the slighted, I would love your opinions. Also, Sesome is not terminally ill or really tech. ill, but that is part of the plot that is to be revealed.

Tidbit:

A dark room, only illuminated by the slight light of Sesome's headset. A headset, covering the boy's green eyes. The room is medium sized, a large canopy bed, with tall wooden frame that made it almost seem like a box. The bed was soft, like a nest. Sheets a silky aqua and the comforter pitched black, contrasting against pale legs tangled up in them. A soft smile cast over the other's lips, one of wonder.

Technology had come such a long way, and Cherry, his mother, had chosen to treat him with a gift. Sesome couldn't leave the room very often, let alone the house. He knew why he couldn't go out, it had gotten worse over the years it had gotten worse.

But now, he could see the world. Or at least the cyber world. Videos, little icons chatting in cyber clubs and places that actually existed. It was all so surreal, and felt very unreal at the same time. Sesome was not very technology savy, but this had been rather simple. Look at where you wanted to go or took interest and it seemed to click. Creating avatars, different species, races, and funny hair. Sesome's was a little black kitten, simple enough. The kitten would purr, and jump from brightly colored apps or complete other worlds as Sesome's eyes moved around.

The sky.

Millions of pictures, videos, and documents popped up before his eyes, shooting up as a spiral that surrounded him.

Sunrise.

Square shapes shot from the spiral and in front of Sesome directly, taking up most of the space of his eye site. Without a direct command, the little black kitten seemed to spring directly forward, to the middle one. The square seemed to swirle and covered in what seemed at the time, a different languages. A escaped his lips out in the real world, something between a muffled sob and elation. Before him and all aroundhim, was a sunrise. He was standing in a field, he could see the grass moving, see the dew. Nearly feel it all, his memory aching to connect to the image before him. In front, the sun was rising. Casting it's pinks into the misty purple, yellow, orange.

It was too much, it wasn't enough. Sesome threw off the headset where it landed near the end of the bed. The skinny boy fell back, a silent sob and yet laugh etched over his face. Curling onto his side, long dark hair pooled around him like an inkwell had been poured onto an artist painting.

What a horrible, wonderful gift. One that hurt him to the core, but one he would never give up. Small mews echoed from the end of the bed, the headset calling to his attention. Sesome could only smile slightly, hot tears making his cheek sticky. What a wonderful gift the world had given him.
