Rowan sat in the corner of his room covering his ears to block out the screams of his people and the sound of cannon fire. He had tears rolling down his face he felt like a failure he sat in his room while his people were in trouble and he could do nothing. He offered to help but his father told him he was to important and to go hid.

He walked to his window and broke down crying, there were fires in the streets cannons shooting at the castle walls. He was scared he was only 18 he didn't want to die, he ran to his door and tried to open it but it was locked. He banged on the door "Let me out! there was only silence. Open now! That's an order from your prince!". Still silent so he sat down on his bed and waited for the inevitable.
