The morning air was crisp as the sun slowly rose from over the mountains to the Kingdom of Alwin. The castle was build against one of the mighty hills as the beautiful stone structure stood there in glory. The cool air coated the meadows in dew to make the kingdom sparkle as if the Gods have sanctified the land and all those who dwell within.
No one would of thought that upon looking at this majestic scene that a bloody battle have taken place just beyond the rolling green hills near by. Another Kingdom dared to lay siege to these lands and failed. The consequences being that the land from whence they came and all their inhabitants were slain. No mercy was shown and no allies appeared to their aid. However, there was one that survived and was taken prisoner. A bounty some may say, but the prince of Alwin says otherwise.
When the prisoner awoke, he was chained and hanging by his wrists. The cold metal biting into his skin as the cold dewy air clung to his hair and dirty attire. There was nothing in the horrible room but the smell of mold and piss and moldy bread that was brought a few days ago. The thick wooden door with iron hinges was in front of him and the heavy footsteps on men in arms were slowly echoing just outside.
