Waving his hand in front of his face he gives a small chuckle, "oh no. Just - uh - realized that I need to get more food for the kittens is all...and more kitty litter so I can change out the boxes tomorrow and have them have fresh litter." It wasn't an all out lie, he did need to get it for the kittens. However he thought he saw "him", but it seems that his brain was just on overdrive.
