Alan listened and moved over to him setting the stool and bucket in place. He offered Cal his hand as he settled down onto it. "I do, well they live with my parents now. I used to have many pets. But he had to give them all new homes when my father sold the ranch." he explained.
He waited for Cal to come to him. Knowing that the calf was in serious discomfort, chasing him down, or forcing him to come over would only serve to piss him off and get Alan sent packing. He'd have to walk on eggshells until Cal was comfortable with him. He just hoped it was soon.
