Alan nodded and held him close, in a gentle protective way. "Alright." he said, continuing to rub his belly as he stroked him. He certainly never expected this to be his first day on the job. "So I rub your belly, to help you relax." he murmured taking mental notes.
Alan chuckled softly at Cal's comment about smacking him. He actually found Cal's petulant stand offish act kind of cute. And feeling him respond like this really only solidified his want to be here. "Just let me know when you're done. I wouldn't want to hurt you."
