The next morning came quickly as it left. Brandon and Miles fell asleep in bed, Brandon holding onto Miles tightly in his arms. Something about holding him close to him brought comfort and it made the restless night that much more bearable. He did come out of his sleep every now and again, but knowing that Miles was right next to him made it that much more easier to fall back asleep. Within hours, the sun was beginning to rise and people were already starting to wake up and get on with their days. One person in particular was James. The man was preparing a party to go out and scout the city. They were good with provisions and the basic necessities, but having a bit extra on hand wouldn't hurt all that much. Plus, a lot of medical supplies were still be held in the hospitals and clinics. If they could get some of them, Nora would be a lot better off then she was now. With Brandon out for the next few days, John was taking his place, and after last night, he knew the guy wasn't happy with it.
John headed over to Miles' place, and knocked on the door. "Hey Miles, it's John. You awake yet?" A few minutes later the door opened and Brandon appeared. "What are you doing John?" The older male seemed annoyed seeing Brandon at the door rather then Miles. "Wheres Miles?" Brandon turned and watched as Miles turned a bit on the bed. "He's asleep right now." By the look on his face, he wasn't happy knowing that something could have happened between them two last night, but he didn't want to wake Miles up and look like the bad guy. "Just tell him I said goodbye and that I'll see him later tonight. Oh, and you better not pull any funny business with Miles, got it?" Brandon yawned and leaned against the door frame. "Sure thing buddy." His stance was very relaxed and his tone was rather nonchalant. He didn't care much for what John had to say, it angered him that they guy had this sense of possession over Miles when they weren't even together. After that John left and Brandon stood at the door watching him walk away and towards the front gate. He closed the door behind him and then walked back over to the bed.
He got back in and pulled the covers over the two of them and slept right back next to miles. It's wasn't long after though that he felt shifting weight, thinking the kiddo was waking up. He stayed in bed, but didn't go back to bed. Wanted to be awake if he was too.
