Soma would nod as he was told he were to go, he was a bit surprised James said he was coming with him, but in all honesty he would have fond a way to get there even if he didn't let him come, so either way he would be there. Soma would follow James from his room and listened to him speak, he chuckled as he spoke, "Well if you do I guess I'm going to have to kill Vlad myself... Then his wife and children, just be be safe." he grinned. Although Soma never really had been a part of any war or battle he knew enough to get by, also the fact he watched James whenever he practiced is form. He always gave James little tips on how to leave less of an opening, such as when in close combat it is always better to go for the horizontal jab as it gave a less chance to be blocked as an over the head slash which left your entire torso open.
Soma was a bit unsure of this duel though, he heard much of Vlad, and one thing he liked to do was always have the upper hand, if he didn't he cheated till he did. Soma watched as James put his sword as his side and shield on his arm, the young boy would grasp James' hand as he was hoisted up onto the horse. The boy would wrap his arms around the male's waist as they rode off to meet Vlad for the duel, he thought about all the time they still had, and if it were all to end he was going to make sure James didn't die alone. As they rode Soma spoke very little, not sure entirely what to say, he only tightened his grip on James' waist to let him know of his worry, only wanting James to reassure him more with every gallop that he would not die this day.
