Leaning against a tree and looking around for a place he could go to for temporary shelter, Topher was completely shocked when he felt the sudden grasp of someone. Releasing a surprised gasp, he was about to make a sound but felt the persons hand cover his mouth.
A human? Topher’s wide fearful eyes looked up, hearing the mans voice and seeing him standing there. It wasn’t his father, right away he felt relief wash over him. But why was he grabbing him? Who was he anyways? Without much of a struggle, Topher felt his stress rising, unsure what was going on and what to do. Should he escape? Or…try to? He doubted it, mostly because the man grabbing onto him had a very strong grip on him.
After a few seconds, Topher nodded in acknowledgment over not screaming. He couldn’t risk it anyways, especially if his father was still looking out for him.
