Josh kept his hand along Akira’s cheek, brushing away any stray tears that traveled down his pale skin. Josh’s maroon eyes stayed locked with Akira’s, taking a few seconds to just lay there with him until he asked the next question, easily noticing how shaky his voice was.
There was a slight pause, Josh’s thoughts flooding his mind on what he meant exactly. Strong feelings… what would that be defined as. When he went to the more probable explanations Josh furrowed his eyebrows, it couldn’t be possible. As he looked into Akira’s eyes, Josh then thought about it a little longer. Did he…love him? He shook his head, deliberating with himself over the words he could use. Love was a strong word, and Josh wasn’t even sure how it would feel to love someone.
With just a few more seconds of thought, he parted his lips and began to speak very softly. “I…my feelings for you are…” Josh looked down, unable to speak while looking at the other man. “I’m not sure what it is but I just feel….less alone with you. I’m happier, when I’m with you its….” Josh looked back into Akira’s eyes and went on. “It’s kind of like the star the lights the way home, or a soft breeze that keeps a fire alive.” He creased his brow and shook his head. “I’m not too sure but I just feel close with you….” Josh finished while closing his eyes.
