Josh softly stroked the animals back, wondering what gender it was, and trying to think of a name for it. He used to have a cat when he was really young, but that was a long time ago. Thankfully now he knew how to care for one, although the litter box and cat toys were in storage…he’d have to get them later.
Looking back at Akira, Josh read what he wrote and nodded first, although slightly frowned from his last question. “Go ahead, pet him…or her all you like. And…” Josh sighed, putting a hand to his cheek and feeling it was a bit warmer than usual, although it didn’t sting like it did before. “Elizabeth. She didn’t take the news very well.” he mumbled so the others couldn’t hear.
