Kaden was slightly surprised by Deiru’s reply, thinking he left every time he went out for work so hearing he had no plans was…odd to him. “Alright…well if you need anything…I’ll just be laying down.”
Turning towards the door, Kaden walked inside his room, removing his boxers so he was completely naked. It was nice to lay down once in a while without anything on, especially since the blankets were so warm against his bare skin.
As he laid down, Kaden decided to stay up a little longer instead of sleep. He was craving a cigarette but wasn’t strong enough to get back up. Grasping the blankets and covering himself up, Kaden sighed in relief as the warmth surrounded him, reaching towards his nightstand and pulling out a small book with a Centaur on the front, holding a spear.
As he flipped it open, Kaden tried his best to keep his eyes open. It was strange to skip work, he had only done it one other time in his life and that was for family reasons. But Deiru was right….he needed to just have this one day off.
