Josh made sure to eat most of his food before he slipped the paper out of the envelope. He knew once he read it, he might not even have an appetite, and as he began scrolling his eyes over the text, that’s exactly what happened.
The note read;
Dear Josh,
I have been informed on the recent conflicts regarding you and Elizabeth. The Leodra family has asked for you to resolve this problem, and to explain to us what is exactly going on. You know any further problems can result in your status to be taken away, and you’d have to live without the help of your parents finances. In order to keep that place you call your ‘home‘, you must come for a couple of days to ensure you won’t be kicked out.
I expect you here by the beginning of next week, and remember Josh, your mother has always expected the best out of you.
Love; Aunt Giana
Seconds went by and Josh seemed to be stuck, frozen for a moment until he abruptly stood up from the table and went to the counter to lean his head against it, his jaw firmly clenched and his eyes closed tightly. How dare she bring up his mother, after all the years she ignored the death of her own sister, she speaks of her as though she knew what she wanted. Josh shook his head, anger and sadness welting up within him. He’d have to face his demons sooner or later, he had to talk to his aunt and speak with Elizabeth’s family, but leaving Akira again for a few days? This time it would be more difficult, and Josh really didn’t want to, but he was nearly forced into it now.
Sangre stopped eating and looked over at Josh, curious and also concerned over what he happened to make him so upset, so quickly. He wanted to speak but he doubted he’d calm him down, only one person could do that and Sangre knew Josh looking so angry would make Akira possibly nervous to go speak with him. For now, the chef waited a little while, knowing if needed, he’d step in and try to see what was wrong if Akira didn’t.
