School, such an unnecessary establishment. Worse, this would be one he had not attended before. It would have been fine if he could have attended from the start, then at least he would have been able to fade to the background. Unfortunately, a student transferring in nearly half-way through the school year was sure to attract attention.

Evander sighed, glancing over at the woman sitting next to him, Clarence, his father's fifth wife. She was driving him to his new school, a nervous air about her. He couldn't help but think she had liked him better sick, when he wasn't able to make uncomfortable predictions on the longevity of the recent marriage. He gave her 6 months, give or take a few weeks.
"How are you feeling?" She finally asked, trying to break the tension. "You were pretty sick these last few weeks, are you sure you're able to go to school?"
Evander let out a noncommittal sound, fixing his violet eyes on a spot just two inches from her head.

"Right then," Clarence said after a moment. "Well, here we are. Goodbye."
He stepped out of the car and gazed dispassionately at the school. He sighed, flicked his brown hair out his eyes, and began to make his way into the school. At least it was near the end of the day, if everything went well he'd only have to talk to the professors. Of course, things rarely went well.

(Hm, a little background on the school would be nice. Is it a college? What's it called? Is it typical of an American or Japanese school? It would be an immense help to everyone it we had that cleared away, no confusion.)

Info: Evander looks clean cut and high class, is about 5'8", and has lithe build, muscled but not overly so (less so than Hein).
